Bottles- What are you using?

What kind of bottles do you use for LO?

I tried looking around target but didn't see anything I liked. We're EBF right now but I'd like to start getting him to try to take a bottle. But I wanted to see what kinds everyone likes before going to buy buy baby.

  • Dr. Browns.  We like them a lot but they have about 528553 parts and are annoying to clean.
  • The only bottles she would take were mOmma bottles that came with Lansinoh NaturalWave nipples. DH couldn't find our extra the other day so he gave her one of our old Dr. Brown and she took it just fine. She refused them back when we were trying to get her to take one but she's a pro at bottles now so she didn't even notice.

I REALLY think you should try some of the easier to clean bottles before trying Dr. Brown's. I was totally set on using them for DS so we used them until he weaned but they are a major pain in the ass to clean. It ended up being an awesome thing that DD wouldn't take them. Dishes take much less time than they did with DS.

  • Playtex drop-ins with the brown latex nipples.

It's the only bottle my 3 EBF babies would/will take.

  • We use playtex vertaire and advent. We have the Tommy tippee too but I don't like how small they are and the nipple would always squeeze in and it would make LO mad

  • We use avent naturals, and love that they are easy to clean! (We handwash everything, so that was super important to us). I've heard great things about Dr Brown, but I just didn't want to deal with all the pieces!

    +1

Same here! They've worked for DS since we started at one month.
  • We used to use bottles with extra parts (tommee tippee colic relief & breast flow). I hand washed them every day for the ten months DS1 used them, and I swore never again.

The joovy doesn't have the extra parts, thank goodness.

  • We just use the Medela bottles that work with the pump.

  • Dr. Browns here too. I like em. Don't think they are a huge pain to clean.
  • Evenflo bottles for us...they attach to my pump. and they are pretty cheap

  • We started with Avents, which I liked because they were easy to wash, but LO had bad gas and spit up a lot.  We witched the Dr. Browns and have had better luck.  I hate washing all the parts though.

  • We just started using the Medela Calma bottles. So far, it's the only thing he'll drink from.
  • I was trying to get him to start taking some here and there . He has upper and lower teeth now and I've been so sore because sometimes he bites and he likes to suck himself off while gripping with his teeth on me. Ouch!
  • DD uses the Medela bottles and will only drink from the slow flow nipples (which you normally would stop using by 4 months of age).
