Does this warrant a call to OB?

Hi ladies,

Please excuse the fact that I haven't intro'd yet but this week has been a bit chaotic. This past Sunday I got my first ever BFP. On Monday, the nagging cough I had been fighting for a few weeks prior became even worse, and I started running a very high fever. My general practitioner was able to see me right away, and prescribed antibiotics, rest, and plenty of water.

Tuesday and Wednesday I saw some light pink discharge in the afternoon and yesterday and today I've had some infrequent red spotting. I haven't felt any pain or cramping. Of course, in my twisted mind this is actually not a good sign because if everything was fine shouldn't I be feeling something?

At this point, is any of this worth a call to my OB or am I just freaking out over nothing? I don't want to be one of those women who call after every hiccup. Especially if this could be something as stupid as I'm coughing too hard. Plus, I've lost my voice, so talking on the phone isn't exactly easy to pleasant to hear.

Basically, tl;dr: Does 5 weeks pregnant + high fever + light spotting warrant a call to OB or should I just calm down and not bug anyone?

At this point, the bleeding could still be implantation bleeding, right? I'd call your OB - even if they can't do anything this early, hopefully they can give you some reassurance.

I was quite ill with my last pregnancy and the follow up MW suggested that I should have called about the high fever, so I think it's worth the call.
