WWYD: Whitening kit

I just received a whitening kit for my teeth in the mail a few days ago!  I hadn't heard anything about not teeth whitening while pregnant but I wanted to see if anyone else here had.  They are professional strength Crest Whitestrips.

Of course, swallowing any of it is bound to make my stomach hurt more, but if I can get past that maybe it will make my growing self feel pretty!

    Unless it says no pregnant ladies on the box, I'd go for it.  (Actually, I use Whitestrips, too, and I will probably do them again this winter.  I'll wait till after first tri nausea fades, though.) 

    FWIW, the Crest FAQ pages says there's no evidence that they're bad for pregnant women, but that you should ask your doc.

    If you do choose to use them, make sure you rinse your mouth out and brush your teeth off afterwards! Some got left on me once and it was the most painful toothache for days! Just thinking of it makes me cringe... It was sooo bad.

    I read the packaging and there isn't anything about concerns, but was still wondering if anyone had personal experience!

    Don't do it.

    I know I read it somewhere.

    Call your doctor or ob nurse for questions like this. I've been surprised and how inaccurate some internet resources can be.
