Jitters during pregnancy?

Hi guys!! I wanted to make a seperate thread for this, im curious if anyone has had any blood sugar or thyroid issues early on in pregnancy? After I eat, I get sooo internally jittery, my hands don't shake but I can feel my insides almost vibrate!! and my heart starts to race... I don't know if it's my blood sugar, my thyroid (never had any issues before), pregnancy hormones? Acid reflux? I got all of my bloodwork done yesterday and I'm waiting on the results but I'm just curious if anyone has felt this during their last pregnancy or already during this one...? I'm nervous about it!! Any help or thoughts would be super awesome! Love you ladies already!

Re: Jitters during pregnancy?

  • I haven't heard of this before! You might want to check with your healthcare provider, unless someone else can confirm this is nothing to worth about. I hope it improves!!

  • I opened this thread and thought by "jitters" you meant nerves, and I was prepared to say that I have been one big ball of nerves since I started testing and waiting for my BFP!

But your definition of jitters seems different.  I would definitely ask the doc--maybe when they call with your bloodwork results?

  • I got the same feeling right before I was about to go to bed at night and my doctor told me I had a lack of calcium? He had me take two tums at bedtime and my symptoms totally went away. I don't know if this will help you at all but just a thought.
  • @bfrank2014‌ thank you!!! @opheliacantswim‌ I've got that too lol.
  • If I eat to much sugar I get super jittery. It could be a spike in your blood sugar. I say try the tums that @bfrank2014 suggests and if that doesn't work call the doctor.

  • I've had this happen to me twice. About 6 weeks and again at about 8 weeks. For me, I've noticed when it happens in the morning if I go too long with out eating. Some times I forget to eat and drink because as soon as I get to work I'm busy busy busy. I just get really shaky and I kinda splutter my words. I think it's due to low sugar?
