Re: MOTN Thread

  • Also, I just picked up the bottle and the lid wasn't all the way on. Resulting in my dropping the full bottle right on DDs forehead. She looked shocked and cried for a second. I feel awful.

  • @MrsSinner402‌: Aww! Poor thing! Did it spill all over her?

We just had a poop explosion. At home this would be no big deal. At the hospital? Well, now I have no pants...Thank goodness for wonderful nurses who help clean up other kids poop!

  • I'm up too! She's being fussy and won't latch so I'm using the shield.

  • DD just at for 30 and 20.... my nipples are killing me. Also, I managed to pissed off DH because sorry if I don't find your attempt at making conversation about how tired you are amusing and I flipped out on him. I got as little sleep as he did and dealt with a fussy screaming baby and annoying dog all day by myself. Still managed to get 3 loads of laundry done too.
We are so excited to grow our family!

  • Thought I was getting lucky...at 2.5 hours LO was sleeping soundly but then she had a huge diaper blowout so had to change her which of course woke her up.. I was too quick to the draw and mid change she was not done...oh and she peed too. So had to get new blankets too. This could now potentially be another long night.
  • @FamousEa‌ glad you get to go home today. It's so much more comfortable at home.
  • Wow cluster feeds are no joke! They started at the hospital yesterday, but tonight I have barely hada break. The common denominator seems to be the bassinet, she hates it. I guess we will try the PNP tomorrow. DH was so sweet though, after hour 5 of cluster feeds, he went into the nursery with her and she slept on his chest for an hour. First sleep of the day!

Don't tell anyone but I was doing dishes with Sunny in the Moby on Monday and accidentally bonked her in the head with the l iid to a frying pan. Mother of the year.
    :(

Yeah, I've smacked Finnley into the wall trying to get away from her diaper explosion on the changing table. I cried. I felt like the worst mom in the world.

  • I'm jealous of everyone getting 3 hours of sleep. DS never goes that long at night. I usually get 90 minutes.

  • @MRSclarke08. We started on the newborn then switched to gentle ease and all was good. Then for some reason DH switched back to newborn and it was no Bueno. I promptly when back to the gentleease.

Every night when i wake up to do MOTN feeding I dream I am already nursing lo in bed. It trips me out every night. I wake up caressing pillows and tonight it was the cat. Why is this a thing? I never have lo in bed with me at night. It is a total mindfuck.

    @MrsBabe614‌
Our daughter is a Finnleigh too!!! Just spelled a little different
  • There is a creature dying in our backyard right now. I am nursing on the couch, listening to something wailing outside- my hormones are causing me to sweat profusely and cry for this creature. My wimp of a cat is trying to snuggle on bumpy with DD to hid from the wailing outside.
  • Feeding DD2 now after DH just left to go back to work for the first time since having the baby. DD1 is crying in her room and Im exhausted after LO being up so much last night. I feel like crying. Im scared of today. Someone's bringing supper for us tonight and other than maybe washing laundry, Im not doing a thing. I think the baby blues are just starting to hit me. :(
  • LO just tricked me. She was sound asleep and it seemed like she was going to give me an extra hour so I thought, maybe I will pump and DH can feed her while I'm in the shower... so I rush to the kitchen and get all the parts, plug them in back in the bedroom, and as soon as I get comfortable she does her waking up stirring and I'm all "dang!"

So I go get her to feed her and she eats for 5 minutes and knocks out. :( So here I am bumping because I don't feel like making more efforts.

Why am I sitting here watching Dating Naked instead of sleeping?
@kariannm 23 how is it? A girl I knew in college was on it. The concept seems like it wouldn't last long. I heard from someone that it was boring to watch.
  • Oh my nips.. ouch ouch ouch..
  • Mason has spent the last 40 minutes refusing to eat unless I'm standing up... ugh.
  • I am torn between feeling sorry for DS, who has been straining with farts and poops all night, and being driven nuts by the constant grunting and flailing.

This is my kid too. At 1 month I gave up and moved her cosleeper to her room so I could get some sleep.

  • I know it's hard to see but it gets better B-) newborns pretty much suck (other than the free cuddles!) They will soon show you their toothless grins over nothing at all to help remind you that they do indeed love you for all you do for them. Just hang in there Mommas... It won't be long now!!!

I opened this thread at 2am when I was feeding DD3 and then dropped my phone on her head. Oops. I took that as a sign to get off my phone and talk to her while she nursed. But only that one time. I'm currently nursing and back on the phone.

It seems it was drop an item on your baby kind of night. It's an occupational hazard.
Bottles, phones, frying pan lids. Anyone else got anything? :|
Food. I drop food on LO all of the time.
Oh yeah. So much food on her head.
