For those who don't have self-explanatory handles, how did you come up with your name?

I usually change my handle/alias on forums every few months, 'cause I get bored. I have a few longtime aliases I cycle through, and others I use for shits and giggles when the mood strikes me. The few I cycle through, including this one, I also use as handles/character names for gaming. This one started as a character name. My character had super powers a la Dark Phoenix or Scarlet Witch. I chose it because metaphysics - cosmology, a branch of philosophy, is one of my main fields of study. For you WoW geeks, it was also the name of my Death Knight toon.

I teach kids with Autism and one of my students couldn't pronounce my name a few years back and called me Kwi-Kwi. It stuck as a nickname. The numbers are by Bday.

I've been bowlwoman for 20 years. Started my freshman year in college when my friends and I were all chatting on IRC and one of my friends said she felt asexual. And, because a bowl was the most asexual thing she could think of, she changed her nick to "bowlie". We all thought it was hilarious and promptly changed all of ours to variations of "bowl", and I got "bowlwoman". It stuck. Seriously, 20 years people.

Its my initials - B for the first name, and my last name is hyphenated. My maiden name was a Z, and then I married a Z - May as well embrace always being at the end of the alphabet! When I started my job, i worked very closely with another girl who had the same name, so to differentiate us, people started calling me Double Z instead of my first name.

I've also had my SN since the dawn of the Internet (probably close to 20 years as well...). It's been my username since I joined The Knot 13 or 14 years ago (because I've been obsessed with weddings since like age 12). It's nothing special, just my former initials and the area code for Maine, where I grew up!

I always had a love for the word adoring. I like adjectives that probably sounds ridiculous... Haha. The second part is I'm a very strong believer in angels then the last 3 initials stand for my first middle and maiden last name.

Haha everyone always thought that now my initials dmr so it's still like a band name or something. I mean Dave Matthews Band isn't too bad but where I'm originally from everyone is mad obsessed and it just got overplayed to me.
