Does anyone have favorite brands or brands to avoid like the plague? Last time around I had a set I loved and a set I hated but it's been five years and I can't remember what either brand was.
I loved the "boob" brand bras. Specifically the "fast food" one. It wasn't underwire (which really bothered me when I wore them) and when I pumped it worked as a hands free bra at the same time. And seeing as I EP'd for 7 months, it was a life saver
I have some of the Target nursing bras that I liked. I've also heard that the Bravado nursing tanks are AWESOME, but they're very pricey! But if you sign up for BabySteals, they run them on special for 50% off from time to time, so I bought a couple of those a couple of months back to also use this time around.

I have two nursing bras from Bravado: the Body Silk ones, I picked up at BBB in nude and black. Very comfortable and stretchy, some people don't like how the outline of the foam inserts/lining can show through thinner shirts, but if you are nursing and possibly using nursing pads they will look similar. I like them, I just make sure to look in the mirror and adjust the foam lining so it doesn't look silly.
I got two sports bras: Sport Clip Down nursing bra. Good coverage, comfortable, relatively inexpensive, but not enough support to wear for real workouts in my opinion if you have large breasts.
Nursing tank tops I got from Target: Gilligan & O'Malley ones.
-Cotton stretch nursing tank in black and grey (2 each) - lived in those for the first few weeks postpartum. Threw on a cardigan and sweats and I was comfy all day long.
-For sleeping I used the Wrap Front Nursing tank (got 2 so one could be in the wash while using the other). Easy access for sleepy nursing sessions. The only complaint I have is that while sleeping if the shirt twisted sometimes one breast would pop out. No big deal though.
Final thoughts: I really like the Bravado and Gilligan & O'Malley stuff. The Motherhood Maternity ones got a bit saggy once my breasts shrank back down and after a year of use. But at first they were perfect for when my milk came in and if I wanted to wear a v-neck shirt.
I like motherhood nursing bras but NOT the Demi ones. Full coverage only. Oh my goodness burn the Demi ones...bought 3 on accident and my ladies fell out of the cups every time I bent over (which is only 1,000x a day). Ugh. I have some nursing tanks from Walmart that work good enough for the price. Whoever invented nursing tanks deserves all the $ that Demi-bras-maker is earning. One thing I don't like about walmart's tanks is that they double as "maternity"...which is not needed after a while, you know? I got some a few years ago from target that I liked but I haven't tried anything recently because the prices were so much higher.
Bravado all the way, I nursed/pumped DS for about 16 months and LIVED in them, I have a larger chest and support issues and could get away with wearing them in the summer without another bra and be decent.
Now I still wear them under clothes as another layer.
Could not recommend them more! They are pricey but they are great quality too.

I tried nursing bras from Target and Gap Body and wasn't crazy about the fit or comfort of either.
I'm also all about the Bravado bras. They're on the pricey side, but it was worth it to me because they were a good solution for me. I have a small band size (30-32) and the girls got relatively huge (e-f) pretty early on for me. I had trouble finding anything comfortable and supportive looking with the right size band and large enough cups online, let alone locally. A friend suggested nursing bras because they often offer more flexibility in that regard.
I have a one of their Silk Seamless. This might be one of the most comfortable bras I've ever worn. (Everyone's different, of course.) It's wireless. It's not particularly sexy. As in, at all. But I think it works well as a t-shirt bra. It's supportive, but a bit stretchy so I feel like I have some room to grow.
I also picked up one of their Allure underwires because I wanted a prettier option. It fit me better than the wireless version and was comfortable at the time of purchase. It's not quite as comfortable now that I've grown some more, but don't regret buying it.
I find the clasps on the cups easy to latch and unlatch single-handedly. I liked that Bravado had fitters in various places in my area. I was able to go in, get measured, and try on the different styles.
Sorry I rambled! Hope this helps!
TL;DR: Don't like the ones from Target or Gap. Love the Bravado ones; Silk Seamless, Allure. Pricey. Get fitted.

I had the Target ones last time and they were good. I heard lot about Glamor Mom before and got a couple off Zulily this time. But they are pricey.
