At home fetal dopplers/ heart beat

has anyone used one of these? If so what is a good brand? They are online for like $40 all day! I know I'm too soon to hear anything right now. But, I was wanting to know thoughts on these? I won't even get to hear my babies heartbeat until 12 weeks of i continue with my same doctor. 
they also said I will only get one ultra sound, and won't be until December! Is anyone else in this boat?
