Pregnant after a Loss

Got the results of my US back

So yesterday we had our first ultrasound. We heard the heartbeat-Yay! We saw a baby-Yay! But then today the report comes back and I am wondering if anyone can tell me if they have experienced either of the two conditions listed that have me a little freaked out. The first is Subchorionic hemorrhage and the second is Probable collapsing corpus luteum on my left ovary. Any advice/help/insight is greatly appreciated.

Re: Got the results of my US back

  • I just got the report from the radiologist. I did email the doctor after doing a little research on the internet about them both. I am hoping she has some insight. I have had no bleeding whatsoever with this pregnancy which is a change from my last that ended in miscarriage. I am 6 weeks today.

  • No solid advice on either. When will you speak with your doctor about the results?

  • My doctor told me I had a subchorionic hemorrhage, which had led to minimal bleeding during sex a few days before my first US, no bleeding since. The doctor told me that it would likely break-up on it's own but that if I had any more bleeding during sex that we should hold off on being intimate until my next appointment. I haven't had any bleeding since.

  • My doc emailed back. She said they are both completely normal. The ovary is just collapsed as they do after they have released an egg and the hemorrhage should rectify itself and is completely normal.
  • Yay for heartbeat!
