Pregnant after IF

Anyone have Endo pains in the first tri?

I'm not sure if I'm looking for trouble or if there is a problem, but when I saw the OB Monday he said my cervical pain could be from my Endo. Yesterday I had a lot of random pains and a little of that God awful pin prick spotting on the TP. Today I thought I saw it at work (cheap toilet paper with random spots anyway if you know what I mean) and have had off and on cramps in random places along with rectal pain-which I typically associate with Endo. The nurse didn't know what to tell me other than bleeding is never really considered normal but it happens. I just had an u/s two days ago so in theory things should be fine. But I can't help but wonder if this is normal. Any ideas?

Re: Anyone have Endo pains in the first tri?

  • Oh my gosh - yes. I call it "butt pain". It is/was easily the worst pain I've had so far this pregnancy. And it really freaked me out the first time it happened. I had rectal pain before pregnancy, but this was definitely worse and of course scarier because I thought the worst was happening.

As for the bleeding, if they don't see anything wrong then I wouldn't worry about it. I was just talking to my doctor the other day about having a bloody nose all the time and she reminded me that it is normal for certain membranes (nose, vaginal, etc) to become thin and sensitive. It's possible that it's just that. Or if you had an ultrasound, exam or sex recently it can absolutely be that too.

  • The areas that I know have had endo definitely hurt in the first tri, although it's been a while now (touch wood). Apparently this is really common, especially if you have scar tissue from previous laps, but enough regular adhesions can cause pain. Your organs move around a lot during pregnancy, so the scars can protect. My OB says it's normal and nothing to worry about. :)

  • Thanks for the feedback! And @Milagros315‌ I've been having nose bleeds too! Didn't really connect the dots between nose and vagina but that makes me feel a little better to hear the info about membranes.
