I'm curious because of that other thread. If your water broke spontaneously (on its own without medical intervention), what time of day did it break? If you want you can comment on where you were and what you were doing at the time.

Mine was at 4:30am. I was getting out of bed to go pee! As soon as my feet touched the ground I felt it go.

Mine broke at home at 11:30pm - I went to bed around 10, but I woke up at 11:30 to pee, and I knew it was more liquid than just pee, so I called DH in to make sure I wasn't crazy, and then we headed to the hospital. Luckily it didn't happen at work and didn't get on the bed!

Mine broke on Labor Day morning around 2:30 after I went to the bathroom. I laid back down and felt a "pop" sensation, stood up and realized what had happened.

Somewhere between 8-10 am. I went into labor at midnight, admitted to the hospital at 3, and my water broke sometime between when my doctor checked me at 8 am and when I started pushing at 10 am.

Mine was broken for me when I was 9/10 cm dilated. The OB said that she was surprised it hadn't broken because it was bulging because I was so dilated.

2 am, when I got up to pee. I was sleeping on the couch bc I was too uncomfortable to sleep in my bed those last few nights. DS was born at 5 pm.

Seems like most people that have their water break on its own have it happen in bed/getting out of bed to pee. Mine was broken at the hospital, but my best friend had hers break in the early morning hours when she sat up to go to the bathroom.

Mine broke around 3-3:30 am. I was having contractions and decided to get water to see if they were real or bh. Gush my water broke so I knew they were real. I delivered at 7:53 pm

Seems like most people so far were during the night and not at work - that would be my preference this time too. We'll see!

Mine broke around 5:30-6am when I got up to go pee. I stood up and felt a warm trickle down my legs. I wasn't having any contractions, so when I got to the hospital they tested me to make sure it was my water. Of course it was positive, so they checked me in and DS was born at 10:00 am the next day.

11:55 pm, as i was brushing my teeth to go to bed. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Laboring all night on no sleep, SUCKS!!

I answered about my second - 2:30 AM while sleeping. I woke up knowing what had happened. She was born 28 hours later.

They actually still had to break my water, apparently my sac broke somewhere up top, and they broke the lower bulging water sac!!!

With my first, they broke the sac in hospital around 5cm.

mine was kind of a dribble because DS's head was so low (no theatric gush for me, lol), as i was getting up off the toilet before going to bed super late the night before/super early the morning of the day DS was born. it was right around 3am...maybe like quarter after.

8 am. Got out of bed and there was a steady trickle. And unlike urine you can't stop it from coming out. I showered put a pad on and made my way to L&D, who were shocked I was back so soon. (Was sent home night before). The nurse didn't believe my water broke, they checked and confirmed it was amniotic fluid by swabbing. Then I was told "I just want to let you know your water has broke".. No, really?

I was admitted around 11 am and had my son at 11:57 that night.

Wow funny to see how many more broke last at night/early in the morning! Mine broke with my daughter, it was just after dinner time and I went to take a shower before we went to walk around the D.A.R.E. Carnival at the mall. Well, we never made it to the carnival, lol, picked up my fiance at the time (now my ex), and went straight to the hospital.

I started active labor with my son at around midnight, but my water never broke.

During the fireworks on the 3rd of July as I was walking out of restaurant. My town is pretty infamous for being the longest running 4th of July parade in the country so the town was packed and although we only had two blocks to go due to the police presence and zillion people walking around it took us almost a half hour to get home. It was kind of like an I love Lucy Episode because my mom and step dad didn't realize it would probably be HOURS before I delivered so they were running around the car like lunatics trying to get me into the car and screaming at people walking into the street that they had a pregnant lady in the car...it was pretty funny for me but pretty stressful for them

Mackenzie was born via c-section 24 hours later (almost to the dot) on July 4th

Kind of sad I won't get to experience that sort of craziness this time since I'll be RCS, it's a great story share with my daughter one day

@britb618, that's an exciting story! When DH and I drove to the hospital with DS, it was around midnight, and the roads were pretty clear. Plus I was much more relaxed than I thought I would be, and I wasn't having strong contractions yet. I daydream about what would happen if I went into full-on labor during a peak traffic time or something like a snowstorm, but I'm kind of hoping for a relaxed and uneventful drive to the hospital again with this one.

With my first or was broke for me.

With my second and 3rd my water never broke. In fact, I had a balloon of water coming out of my vagina. It broke because my midwife rubbed it the first time, then with DS3 it broke when I was told to lift my butt up so they can put a pad under me.
