Chest pain

Hi...is there anyone else out there experiencing chest pain?? Im 15 weeks today and I looked it up and it could be a number of things so I'm just not sure what it is. It's just a dull pain in my upper right chest. So just wondering are any of u other ladies experiencing this?

Re: Chest pain

  • yes I have had some sharp shooting pain and soreness. Also sometimes it's hard to breathe or take a deep breathe but I think that is a normal symptom around the second trimester.

  • Chest pain is not a normal pregnancy symptom. I agree with @snowbigdeal, there are plenty of benign things it could be, but you should call your doctor.

  • And if the pain gets worse and/or you develop any shortness of breath, go to the Emergency Room

  • I would call your dr but it may be heart burn or chest congestion
  • Thanks for the replies. Just posted because it's not really a strong sharp pain more of an ache that comes and goes. Have no shortness of breath or anything like that and had read that it could be indigestion/trapped wind and was just wondering was anyone else experiencing it but I'll def call the doctor in the morning if I still have it or if the symptoms get worse, thanks for the advice x
  • Call your doc. But it could be heart burn
  • I have this from time to time. They ran a few tests and found my hemoglobin is pretty low. Signs of low hemoglobin can be chest tightness and rapid heartbeat. Right now, my levels are being monitored (and I'm supposed to increase my iron rich foods --which I'm finding a bit harder since I don't eat red meat) but if my levels don't increase then I'll be put on an iron supplement. I agree it's best to get it checked out by your doc, but hopefully it's something simple like that.
