Diaper brands

So before LO arrived, our friends had a diaper party for DH so we are stocked pretty well in size 1 diapers, which he's in now. I have been using Pampers swaddlers and have found them to work well. Occasionally I'll get some leakage but this has happened at night when he's slept a longer stretch and the diaper is pretty full of urine!

I am about out of our stock of Pampers and I have a lot of Huggies and 2 smaller packs of Luvs. What are your opinions on those brands? I'm just nervous to switch over since we've had good luck with the Pampers!

Also, I feel like someone once told me that Walmart will exchange diapers for different sizes (even if not purchased there and without receipt?) Has anyone done this or exchanged for a different brand? Just wondering before I try to show up with a handful of diapers.

Huggies don't work for DS. Every time I used one it leaked. I bought a box of pampers and Huggies size 1 months ago. Yesterday I took the Huggies back to Walmart (unopened) and they let me do a straight exchange for pampers. I actually grabbed size 2s because I have enough 1s. Not a problem at all!

I loved luvs for my DD haven't tried them for DD I also like Huggins..
I think it depends on the LO honestly.. If you like pampers stick with them or try the other ones..and just because you don't have an issue with size one other than occasional leak doesn't mean they will be just as good in a different size..that's how it wa from my experience at least.

ps target brand is good also

Pampers have been awesome for us. We have never had a leak or anything. I also liked Luvs. Huggies were awful. We had tons of leaks. I was so aggravated I actually called and had them refund my money.

I didn't like Huggies for my oldest. I thought they smelled like pee a lot more than pampers. It drove me crazy. We have always used pampers since. Actually I tried the Target brand once but they felt so flimsy and cheap that I didn't like them.

We use pampers swaddlers as well, I returned all the other brands of diapers we got at our shower to target and they allowed me to exchange without a receipt. I am all about sticking with what you know works.

Hate pampers wipes though, i feel like they just smear everything. We love Huggies wipes.

I don't like pampers wipes either. Huggies wipes are thicker and seem to get her cleaner with fewer wipes.

We have used pampers and huggies and both have been fine for DS. We also were given CVS brand which we used because they didn't come in the package with the way the person gifted them and those were ok.

So far we've been lucky and the brands we have tried have worked. We also have Luvs and Target brand in our stack of gifted diapers.

I've never liked Huggies...always had leaks and blowouts. When DD1 was older we used Luvs and they were good...but for now it's worth the extra money for Pampers in my opinion.

We use pampers and will eventually switch to target brand but I am thinking of trying costco once we run out of our stash. Our church did a diaper shower after I had ds2. I do not like huggies either. They leak horribly.

I am using pampers now for the nb and size 1 diapers. I have actually had opposite experiences with huggies, pampers and Luvs. I love the small sizes in pampers but as dd2 got older, and urine output increased, I always felt like the diapers and even her clothes felt damp if I couldn't change her the second she peed. We have used huggies with all 3 of my older kids after size 1 and rarely had leaks/blowouts, usually only when we needed the next size up. Luvs are cheaper, and you get what you pay for. We never had issues with rashes but I went through more diapers and really wasn't saving any money. I have heard good things about both Costco and target but haven't tried them yet as both stores are 30 minutes away.

Another vote for huggies wipes. I also like that Costco has sales on them from time to time and makes them cheaper than any other brand.

We love Pampers Sensitive and will probably stick with those. huggies leaked for us.

I like pampers best but im pretty fond of target brand. Luvs didn't work for my girl and she always got a bad rash from Huggies and Walmart brand

We are using pampers sensitive swaddles now, we tried huggies and Honest company and they were terrible! Huggies leaked and honest rubbed his cord and leaked even when folded down!

I'm also a fan of Pampers Swaddlers. The hospital sent us home with both some pampers and huggies, and the huggies leaked. I'm currently trying out the Costco brand as my aunt gave us a gift card specifically to use on diapers and they don't sell pampers (at least at mine). No specific complaints about them yet, and you can't beat the price. However, Pampers just seem to fit better so we will probably get set up on Amazon Mom and continue with them.

I worked in daycare so I know how all the brands worked. I hate Huggies, and in the hospital the nursery switched to Huggies from swaddlers and they broke DS out, I find them to leak too. Luvs is a good brand, but I prefer pampers. I can count how many times DD leaked and it was my fault bc the diaper was to big.

Walmart will exchange without a receipt.

Walmart will exchange without a receipt and even give you a gift card that you can just get whatever you want.

And I'm odd man out that loves huggies!!

we tried pampers because they were gifted to us. They just fit my babies little teeny butts funny and leaked. I use huggies with DD1 also with no problem.
But like someone else had said, I think it depends on your LO. My babies have toothpick legs and nooooo butts (and I'm not making fun of them, I love these crazy kids!) we also had some problems with allergies however, so that helped dictate our choice.
I definitely like huggies wipes better than the others that I've tried.

Target Up & Up diapers are great! I'm surprised nobody has mentioned them. We have used pampers since we got so many as gifts, Huggies gave DS a rash so we didn't even try them this time. We will be using Up & Up with a few cloth diapers. Try Up & Up, I'm sure you will like them. We used their sensitive wipes also.

Huggies are too low up front for both my boys. Luvs leaked out the leg Everytime. Pampers we love and target store brand we pepper in because pamps are pricey.

Pampers here! Huggies don't fit my LO and we had issues with leaking. Also babies r us will exchange diapers without a receipt.

we've been using luvs and walmart brand. She doesn't poop a whole lot so we don't really have to worry about blowouts too much but they both hold in the pee really well. huggies leaked on us and pampers worked really well, but not so much more than the others that we're going to buy them. Hoping she'll fit into her cloth diapers soon

We are using honest during the day & pampers swaddlers at night. The honest run small, and they don't stay quite as dry feeling for the little guy.

The pampers are amazing for overnights.
