Scary morning in Ottawa today

Attack on Parliament Hill. One solider shot, one gunman dead. Police searching for more gunmen. All Canadian Forces Bases closed. 
Thoughts go out to my fellow Canadians, especially those in the Ottawa area.

    Yes it is. It was just reported the solider that was shot has died. That's 2 Canadian soldiers killed in 48 hours. It's clear that our Armed Forces are targets. Apparently in the East Coast, orders have been given to soldiers NOT to wear their uniforms anywhere other than on the Base.

    It has been a horrible day for Canadians in the news.   If it's not those poor babies in the storage locker, it's been this awful situation.   We are now under heightened security watch apparently here on the West Coast.

    ETA:

    The story about the babies in the storage locker is potentially triggering and mentions babies who have passed away.

    Agreed. They now have extra security at Arlington Cemetery at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

    The poor babies.  I had to google that to find out, and now I wish I didn't.  You'd think I'd know better than to read sad stories revolving around babies now, but I still do and then I want to go scoop up my little guy in a big, big hug.

    So very sad.  Some people really suck.

    This is so, so terribly sad and disgusting. They don't even know if this woman is related to these babies.
