Feeling something's just not right..

I'm seeing the OB for the first time at 11am tomorrow. I have this feeling deep down that something is very very wrong. I'm not the type of person to believe in psychic intuition. But I've had this very real feeling I just can't explain for over 2 weeks that something is seriously wrong. I've tried to ignore it, and act like everything is fine, but the reality is I'm scared to death that I'll get bad news tomorrow.

I hope it's nerves, but I don't feel more stressed than usual in other areas of my life.

Anybody else go through this?

I'm a FTM and I felt that up until I saw the baby at 10w and then again until I heard the heartbeat at 11w. I think it's a normal feeling. Hopefully your OB will give you good news. Good luck!

I still feel like that and I've had four ultrasounds. Sometimes I think feelings mean something...and sometimes they don't. Pregnancy is scary and no one tells you that ahead of time. Update us and let us know how it goes.

I felt the same before Monday's NT scan. It was terrifying, but for me was on the Wednesday before I started feeling great, like I wasn't preg. I couldn't even sleep the Sunday night because I felt I knew, and I mentally prepared for the worst..... Then, there was my little baby, wiggling around, I cried like a big girl. fx for your appointment xx

I have some of this every time I have an appointment but I think it is just dealing with some of the emotions. This is my third time and it still causes nervous feelings.

It's a combination of nerves and anxiety most likely. Just try to stay calm, the only way you'll know anything is by actually going to the OB. Good Luck, We hope you come back with good news.

I think it is very normal to have the feelings you are having. I too have those same feelings from time to time. I try to remind myself of this mindset, as long as I am not bleeding or severely cramping and HB was heard at the last appointment, then I have to trust everything is going according to plan. I sometimes use the thought of "PUPO" Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise. Today I am pregnant and today this baby is growing.

With my last pregnancy, I was convinced EVERY TIME I went in for an appointment that I was going to get bad news. I don't think I ever relaxed for the entire 9 months. I still fight those feelings with this pregnancy, but I'm fighting them because I really want to enjoy this one and not be so stressed out. Know that the odds are on your side--the risk of miscarriage at 10 weeks is 0.5%. Have you had an ultrasound yet or is that why you're so keyed up? I can definitely understand if this is your first ultrasound because up until now there's been very little "proof" that there's a baby in there.

FWIW with DS I was convinced there was something wrong with his legs. I don't know why but I just felt it. We had an us and they were clearly working. But I couldn't shake the feeling. I relaxed finally when he was born and finally let it go when he started walking. Sometimes our brains just pick an obsession. I know it's hard but try to relax.

I hope that you get some good news!

I am a FTM and because my symptoms have gone away I can't stop thinking and googling "missed miscarriage". I know I shouldn't stress about it since my first appt is still two weeks away, but I can't help it.

I hope that this appointment gives you relief from these bad feelings.

I'm a STM and have the same concerns. It feels like it's been so long since my last US and because my symptoms have subsided substantially, this adds to my fear. It's natural to worry. FX all goes well at your appointment and it's great that your mom will be there with you. Hoping you enjoy seeing your lil' one squirming on the US and looking forward to your update.

What you're feeling is perfectly normal. I'm sure most of us have felt some sort of fear or anxiety during our pregnancy. I hope you get some good news at your US.

I had it so bad with DD2 that I was shocked at every normal appointment. When I got to 40 weeks, I figured the bad feeling wasn't about baby, it must be that something was going to happen to me. I was so convinced I write farewell letters to husband and DD1. Afterwards I realized what a waste all those feeling s were. I wished that I had talked to a professional about it, or at least have been fully open and honest with DH instead of laughing it off to him as crazy pregnant hormones.

I hope that everything goes well at your appt tomorrow (I have my first in an hour!) And if the feelings continue, please do yourself a favor and talk to someone about it so they don't take your pregnancy hostage.

I get a feeling that something bad is going to happen before every ultrasound. Maybe we are trying to protect ourselves from something that we cannot control? I don't know the reason but I don't feel it's abnormal.
