Maternity Fashion

I finally got around to ordering some maternity clothes! What are your favorite stores?? Also-- I am looking for a pair of destructed skinny jeans and can find them no where!! I've looked at target, gap, old navy, motherhood and pink blush boutique lol. Anyone know where I can find some?

Re: Maternity Fashion

  • Check out asos.com and h&m online. Lots of cool maternity clothes that aren't too expensive!

  • I second ASOS! Love their maternity. I've ordered three dresses and have loved them all.

  • They actually have some on motherhood maternity website. They are less expensive than any I have seen.
  • I have just begun to start buying maternity clothes- i lucked out this weekend at old navy- shirts were bogo half off. I've also had some luck at Ross but it's really a hit or miss! I like h&m selection as well

  • I've shopped online sales with succcess from Gap, Old Navy, Destination Materinity, and Motherhood Maternity. I have been happy with everything I've ordered so far.
  • I've had some luck with Ann Taylor LOFT Maternity as well as the other sites these ladies have mentioned. Destination Maternity sells designer maternity jeans that may include the style you're looking for, but they'll probably start well over $100...
  • Gap does have distressed maternity jeans, at least online.  I've been very happy with the quality with the Gap's maternity line - and since I generally only buy when they are doing 40 % off, I can usually get stuff cheaper than at Target or Motherhood Maternity.  I'm also tall, and Gap's maternity stuff works well for that.  I have been less than impressed with the quality of Motherhood M. for the price, and most of the clothes are NMS.

I am picky about what I buy at Old Navy - the prices can't be beat but so much of it is lower quality synthetics (nothing against synthetics, just not always as comfortable IMO).  And cheaper fabrics, synthetic or not, often aren't as flattering.  H & M has some fashionable stuff online, I imagine the quality isn't great but they are quite stylish and affordable.

I haven't checked out ASOS for maternity - sounds like I should!

On another note, I have been having a lot of fun dressing my pregnant body with my new boobs and belly - I just "popped" in the last couple of days but I've been shopping since 10 weeks.  Since I think we're likely one and done, I can't justify buying too much more - but I have to say, I really like maternity clothes.  I have always struggled with my body image and I wasn't expecting so enjoy dressing my curvier figure so much.  So I probably will buy more stuff :).
  • I saw distressed jeans at A Pea in the Pod last week! Expensive but super cute and well made...
  • I have shopped at Target and Motherhood Maternity. I tried H&M but my size is always sold out. I like Destination Maternity since they have a lot of brands at one place.
  • Jcrew maternity jeans are my favorite!! Super comfortable and great quality- only available online. They are between $95-$135, but they often have 30% off deals.
  • Not sure about the distressed jean specifically, but I have placed two decent sized orders of maternity clothes from Old Navy, and have loved every piece I got. Their maternity jeans are as comfortable as my pjs.
  • They have a good selection at a Pea in the Pod but they are expensive. If you look online Bloomingdales has some as well the majority of designer jeans make maternity jeans. So far I've been buying most of my basic stuff at the Gap, their pure body T's are super comfy. They have them in tank tops, short sleeve and long sleeve and I wait until they have a 40% off your entire purchase sale. Also Hatchcollection.com is good but pricey as well and one of my friends who works in NYC for Instyle magazine just had a baby and she said near the end when she was as big as a house she mainly wore stuff from storq.com I live in Los Angeles and I would have thought there would be a lot more options out there for maternity but not so much.
