Hi all!
I'm LowTalker23, and I've been a dirty lurker for several weeks now but was too scared? superstitious? nervous? to post, but we got good test results back from our NT scan last week, and I've decided to make my entry into the land of April 2015 mamas. So, hi.
I'm 30, a vet tech turned SAHM to a 3 year old little nerd, I love Keith Urban, and I have two donkeys. I'm due April 23rd. I haven't posted in forever on the bump, not since my son's BMB migrated to Facebook, so be gentle, okay?
:-h
Re: Oh, hi...didn't see you there.
Thanks!! My donkeys are my claim to fame (lol) on my other BMB. People love donkeys, apparently. Who knew? Here's one of mine. This is Flap. The other is Jack. Yeah, we're weirdos.
And lol at my siggy. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to change that annoying gif.

Yes, definitely. My two are kinda wild asses but donkeys in general are gentle and very affectionate. Flap will follow you around like a puppy. They are incredibly smart, too. Being the donkey lover I am, I would say they are smarter than horses (but those horse lovers out there will disagree!) and that's what makes them SO stubborn. Also, they are incredible guard animals. If you have a flock of sheep or goats or even a herd of cattle, throw a donkey or two in the mix and they'll keep your other animals safe from coyotes. My husband had a great uncle that lived up in the sticks that owned a donkey, and it killed a black bear that got into its field. Crazy, right?
The more you know!

Lol, the bear got into the donkey's fence, and the donkey cornered it and stomped it to death. They'll turn their butt towards you and stomp. The donkey had some scratches on him but otherwise, he was fine. Crazy, I know.
Welcome to the A'15 club!
You're going to be just fine here. These ladies are so awesome and look forward to hearing more from you.

A15 January Siggy Challenge-
Ha!! I don't know. I guess I just find it endearing? I seriously love to hear them bray. Usually if they are braying in the middle of the night, though, something is wrong - a dog is in the field, or a cat, or a skunk, or something. At least that's been the case with mine, anyway. But 6 AM comes and you can bet they're letting us know they're hungry
Hello and welcome!
