Leaving LO w/grandma for 2 nights - tell me it will be ok.

I'm going back to my college town this weekend for homecoming and will be there Friday night and Saturday night. My mom lives in the same city so I'm bringing DD with me and she will babysit (my friends and I are staying in a hotel). This will be the longest I've been away and am a bit freaked. Anyone else been away that long? I'm overreacting right? I thought about not bringing her, but I think my mom would be crushed b/c she lives 2.5 hours away and doesn't get to see her much.

    I left DD for 2 nights about 2 months ago and there were a lot of tears (from me) when I was leaving but I forced myself to enjoy my time away but it was hard! My in laws texted pictures throughout the weekend, which helped alot!

    I haven't yet but in a month we are leaving the country for a destination wedding. I know LO will be fine. My mom watches her twice a week so she knows her likes and dislikes and habits but she's not used to having her all day and night for a week plus MOTN wakings. I'm more nervous for my parents than for baby. It is scary though when you don't have control over your LO. I'm also really concerned about how to stay in touch internationally. Try and have a good time and enjoy some adult time!

    Internet. Emails, Skype, etc you can probably use your hotel WiFi.

    You survived your mom's parenting skills :)

    I've had to leave L a couple times with my mom and it sucked - def called my mom A LOT tho.

    We are leaving DS for a night with my MIL this weekend. Saturday we have a wedding a few hours away and Sunday we are going to the steelers game. So basically we won't see him for 2 days. I don't know how I will do. MIL is sleeping at our house since everything is there so that makes me feel a little better. He still wakes 2x a night so I warned her that she won't get much sleep

    We have done several overnights at grandmas house. They both love it! I was a little nervous the first time, but it got easier. A couple of weeks ago I went out of town for a bachelorette party and my husband & grandma had the whole weekend. You need time to relax and have fun. If your little one sleeps horrible like mine, the sleep ended up being heaven sent! I was more excited about sleeping than the plans I had!
