We have a mover!!

I can't believe how much this little guy moves in his crib at night!

Spencer is swaddled at night and every morning we find him at the bottom end of his crib, squished against a side or in some other odd position. We watched him one night..when he is swaddled he lifts his legs up, getting enough "air" that his little hips are actually off the mattress. This is the motion he uses to move himself around his crib. For instance: last night I put him at one end of his crib and when I went in this morning he was at the other end of the crib, turned a 90 degree angle and his feet were sticking out in between the slats on his crib. Crazy!

My concern is that he is going to get hurt when he pokes his feet between the slats and I'm a little nervous to use bumper pads at this age.

Anyone else have a major wiggle worm?

we had to remove our bumpers because dd squrims her way into one corner of the crib where she pushes her body against the side of the crib. It is crazy

We bought mesh bumpers. They are really lightweight and are supposed to be "safe". You could give them a go?

I'm sorry, I had a major laugh at the way you described the movement! Yes, mine does too and I have to now moce her from the mommaroo to the crib/pack n play.

Same here. He kept pushing his head against the rail the other day and crying so I think we may end up putting the breathable bumpers on.

Elias is often a full 180o from how he was put in the crib when we wake up for his MOTN feeding. Then I put him back the same way he started out, and invariably by the time we wake up he's moved 180o again! I know he's still somehow sleeping during all of this. Sometimes I wake up because I hear a loud THUMP which is him lifting his legs and then cracking his feet down on the Pack n Play. Crazy LO! He's like his mommy who also moves a lot in her sleep...

Yes! My MIL says it comes from DH. LO sleeps in a newborn cosleeper at an incline swaddled and he'll end up slid down and the opposite way sometimes.

@cko521 - mine too. She was just a fussy mess a bit ago, so DH got her changed for bed and put her down and as far as I can tell, she's out, because it's quiet in here!

We ended up getting mesh bumpers after our boy had gotten his legs stuck a few times. They seem to work well.

LO rolled over from his belly to his back today about 10 minutes before I got home from work!! Stupid gas light was on and dinging making me get gas on the way home from work made me miss the first roll over

Hehe my LO does this all the time! So hilarious to watch. He's a strong one! Sounds like he's body slamming his pack n play like in a wrestling match lol
