Running errands with LO

Is it just mine or do they all hate it and cause giant scenes in the middle of Target that make you feel like the worst mom on the planet??

DD is 8 weeks and just refuses to sleep on trips. I always see other babies passed out so sweetly while their moms calmly peruse the aisles. Makes me peanut butter and jealous.

Yes! For me, its mostly that he hates the car seat bc is too firm I think (so no stroller) & hates baby wearing a lot of the time (similar to my tummy time woes, he just burrows in my chest & near suffocates - doesn't like to turn his head for some reason). So I have no options to tote him around!

Same here! He hates the car seat and being worn in a carrier. So he basically cries the whole time at the grocery store while people stare and then passes out while we're finally checking out.

Not this one, but my first. Not fun, but when he was a little older and could sit up in the stroller and look around it got a lot better.

Same here. DH took DS to Dicks, Gander Mountain and Tractor Supply one day and he slept the whole time! He said DS just likes guy stores, ugh...

Amazon Prime is awesome

. I know you can't get everything that way, but I have been buying whatever I can through there so I don't have to deal with taking her out.

He hates the car seat, but luckily will tolerate the carrier. I have to run a couple laps around the car with him attached to me to calm him down before going in the store, which looks completely ridiculous. I try not to stay inside for more than 10 minutes to avoid meltdowns.

I go out a lot with my LO but she does pretty well being worn in the moby. She hates her carseat though so going to restaurants is frustrating...can't really wear her while trying to eat. I got over the embarrassment of her having a melt down real quick. Also I haven't had anyone give me dirty looks or say anything. If they do its sympathetic.

You're not alone. Just went to the mall. Big mistake to do so in the evening. LO lost it somewhere in Macy's. As soon as we walked outside though, she passed out. I'm sure people thought that I was a terrible mother. Oh well.

I haven't attempted a solo or duo trip; waiting for first immunizations. Will probably make first attempt the first week in November. Fingers crossed he likes it.
