Sounds like fun! I've been wearing DS (6.5lbs) in a maya ring sling and am going to give the ergo a try this afternoon.

I need to wash my baby k'tan. I want to try it out since DD is often awake and content for like an hour after she eats. I figure that would be a good time to wear her.

Some carriers do that for liability, and others really do need baby to be bigger before you wear them. With a ring sling, you can often stick a rolled up receiving blanket under the extra material at the top, keeping the material taut and making a little headrest for extra support. Little babies can also be worn in woven wraps.

DS2 is still under 6 lbs, but I have been wearing him in the moby. I just make sure his head is supported and he can breathe well in the position. I am going to hold off on the ergo for a bit, until he's 8 pounds or about. The attachment parenting board ladies have good wearing advice, but I think a lot of people are intimidated by the AP term.

I just started using a ring sling with DS2 snd he is under 7lbs. In fact, I went with the ring sling because it was recommended for little babes.

I just got a k'tan, but my LO is only 7 lbs. I tried him in it but it seems like no matter what I do he sinks down and ends up with his chin pressed to his chest which the instructions said are a no no.

Baby K'tan is my new best friend. I've been doing mornings by myself with a 6 year old and 3 year old and having to get everyone ready and walk my son to school. We have been on time every day and I kinda feel like super mom, not gonna lie

She's over 8 pounds now and we use the kangaroo position. She loves it

I've been using the Baby Bjorn since my baby was 6 pounds. (she was 4 pounds when she was born.) She falls asleep instantly when she is placed in the Bjorn and sleeps against my chest. The instructions say that the baby needs to be 8 pounds, but it is works just fine.

We use a Moby for when she's fussy and wants to be held and won't in a laid back position. Been doing that since she was 6.5-7 lbs. She's about 9 lbs now and we're trying to get her into the Ergo. She gets super fussy though even with the newborn insert. She likes being in the insert outside of the Ergo, so it wasn't a total waste of money.

I started wearing DS1 for a few minutes a day once we were home (he was over 9 at birth though), and it became his and my saving grace when the "witching hour" came upon us. I'd put him in the Moby wrap and walk around the house, vacuum, or cook supper. Once he was big enough, the Ergo was my best friend. I loved babywearing instead of hauling around a carseat or stroller for shopping. I plan to baby wear DS2 (as soon as he gets here!!), but more for the bonding and calming benefits because I know shopping is not going to be as easy with 2 under 2.

I have a Solly and a Sakura Bloom sling. I've tested out the Solly but not the sling yet. He seems to like it but I need to find the right times to stroll around to help him get comfortable with it so it's useful to both of us!

We started with wovens and a ring sling with my seven pounder. He loves them but doesn't like his head tucked in at all so I'm not exactly hands free 8-}
