L is on a delayed vaccine schedule bc of past issues in my family that involve severe allergies to vaccine cocktails. Her regular pedi was the one who said that it is a good idea to start her vaccines at 6 months and do one at a time instead of doing the regular schedule. The modified schedule is in place so that if she does have an allergic reaction she is a bit older and her body can handle it better and so that it would be easier to pinpoint exactly what she is allergic to.For L's 4 month check up we ended up having to see another pedi in the same clinic and he made me feel like a fool! He kept going on and on about how my daughter will get deathly sick if she doesn't get all her vaccines asap. I tried explaining the situation (it's also in the charts) but he told me I was crazy for thinking that any sort of vaccine can cause an allergic reaction. The regular pedi is on vacation right now, I will def be talking to him as soon as he is back.
End Vent.
Re: Irritated at a pedi.
There is. I sent an email explaining the situation. I doubt I'll get much of a response because there isn't a lot of family practices that I can actually choose from around here so they know I can't go anywhere.

Arg. You be doctor, I'll be mom.
@KBowen715 Exactly! DH was there to and got extremely irritated.
Oh, and when I asked about solid foods he told me I should start with oatmeal and such. From what I understand that is not the recomendation anymore.

I am def only scheduling with my reg pedi from now on. I also sent an email to the office manager, hoping to actually get a response.
@Kimbus22 I'm pro vaccine for all of the diseases that can cause serious issues. However, not so much for the chicken pox or flue vaccine. L is also not in a daycare but with my mom while I'm at work, I would probably have a different opinion about the flu and chicken pox vaccine if she was around other babies all the time.
