I am having to find a new home for my dog whom I rescued almost 4 years ago. He has been the best dog but my 2 year old got ahold of him and Noah snapped and got him in the eye. It could have been really bad. I hate this so bad because he is a great dog but got put in a bad situation. I don't know what I will do when he is gone. I'm so heartbroken over this. He was supposed to be the dog that DD grew up with. Major emotions right now!

How scary and sad. Glad your LO is ok. I often fear when people who have dogs let them get close to my children, even when they say their dogs are peaceful and trained. It sucks, I'm sorry.
@bullybutt so sorry about your dog and LO, that is such a tough situation.
My MBF are that there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done before work (I work evenings). It is now 2:15 and I am nursing DD, still have to get dressed and eat some form of lunch, and I have to leave the house at 2:35 the latest.

@ZeroZeroOne it's illegal for your employer to not provide a place for you to pump. A bathroom doesn't count. I believe Kellymom has a section that talks about it!
Took my 2.5 year old DS to our weekly gymboree class, he did great during the class with only one or two little fits (he's not a fan of sharing lol) but when it was time to leave he had a complete meltdown! I'm talking screaming, throwing himself on the floor everything! The teacher had to help me get DD to the car since my hands were full of a thrashing 2 yo. Once I got both kids In the car I cried most of the way home. I think it was just due to lack of sleep and hormones because I realize all 2 year old have tantrums but he's just gotten really difficult lately and I miss my sweet baby boy!

Today is my first day back at work so that is my bitch. Apparently there is no outlet in the bathroom with the chair so I had to pump in the other bathroom sitting on the toilet seat. So awesome.
Feeling your pain. I'm currently pumping in a shower stall (with battery pack). This is a temp work location (one day a week for 6 weeks), so I don't feel like making a fuss for a better room
My mom is staying with us for three weeks watching little one; she flew in so she doesn't have a car. She wanted to run errands today so I carpooled with DH (to leave my car at home). All this would be fine, except DH has to be at work by 6:30 am... And it's a 45 minute drive... Ugh.
.... I'm.really.tired. And also sick of dealing with silly bureaucracy, especially when this tired.
And also I just had to google bureaucracy to remember how to spell it so now I feel dumb.
Thanks ladies! I'm going to look up the laws and see if there's somewhere else I can pump. For now they're ordering an extension cord so I can use the bathroom with the chair (the other bathroom is too small for the chair). Mostly men work here so they haven't had to deal with this before. I Clorox wiped the bathroom like crazy before pumping. So gross!
It does say that the employer must offer you a place other than a bathroom unless there are less than 50 employees or if it is an undue hardship. It is federal law.
My MBF is that dd slept until 4:00am but I woke up at 2:00am with a raging headache that I could not get rid of and therefore could not get back to sleep. It finally stopped pounding just a little while ago.
In the first paragraph states that: Employers are also required to provide “a place, other than a bathroom, that is shielded from view and free from intrusion from coworkers and the public, which may be used by an employee to express breast milk.”
I might need surgery for my Mommy's Thumbs. They are killing me every time I pick up LittleDude. I can feel the tendons pop and roll and it's not pleasant.
I fucking feel you on this. I am also doing hair all day, my wrists are shot. I can't tuck my thumb under my fingers in my right hand.
We're in a growth spurt. LO woke up 3 times last night, and apparently did the same Saturday night. (DH was on duty, that was my one night a week to pretend to be normal.) It's hard to be mad at LO, though, when he's so darn cute and cooing at you at 5am. But ugh, mommy needs sleeeeep.
Also, contact lenses, get your act together. Stop hurting no matter how much drops I put in!
And I feel fortunate no one has walked in on me pumping at work yet. I have to do it in a long, narrow closet so at least if someone walks in I feel sorta protected. Sorta.
DH keeps harping on "all" the chores he does around the house. Gee, thanks honey. I appreciate that you keep the kitchen in order, but when we both get home 2 hours before the kids go to bed and things need to get done in their rooms before they go to bed, plus 4 month shots today, how about you give me a hand elsewhere. Kitchen can be taken care of when they're in bed.

I found this website helpful: https://www.ncsl.org/research/health/breastfeeding-state-laws.aspx

This is A FEDERAL law, not a state law ladies
