Fisher Price Sit Me Up Floor Seat?

I got one at my shower and decided to let the daycare baby sit in it, since she isn't sitting unassisted yet. She got stuck in it, and I almost couldn't get her out! Any of you use this with other kids find it really hard to get baby in and out?

I have the bumbo and DD loved it. I've heard of babies who have larger thighs getting stuck. My kid is a peanut and just now hit 30lbs at 3 1/2.

I have those things, too, so I am not entirely sure I NEED anything else, you know? My son could use the jumperoo at 3 months if I put blankets around him.

We had a bumbo for DS but the one time I used it he got stuck cuz he had thunder thighs. My kid is pretty huge though, he's 37 pounds at 2 years 3 months old.

DD got stuck in the bumbo seat too. She was a chunky monkey (24lbs at 7 months). We were able to use it for a while as a highchair.

Dd loved her bumbo but was tiny. I could see how chubby thighs would not make that a comfortable seat!

The sit me up is just.. weird. Its a lot different than a bumbo

For some reason I thought that bumbo chairs were not safe for babies.

They've been recalled because people put it in the counter/table with baby in it and it tips over. Product itself is fine, user error is the problem. They now have a seatbelt and warnings all over for floor use only.

I thought this too. I haven't looked into it personally but I feel like I heard that if the baby can't sit up on their own you shouldn't try propping them up in that position. ? But I really don't remember where I heard that. Maybe I'm making it up haha

I've seen some articles too. With any product you have to use your judgement and common sense. If you plop your baby in there for hours everyday, it's not good but that can be said for anything. Putting baby in for 20 min to play and sit up should be fine.
