How can I fit 3 car seats in a Ford focus?

Surprise we just found out we are having our 3rd baby. The only concern is mine is about my vehicle. I have a 2014 ford focus and was wondering how I can get another car seat in there. I have a evenflo 3 in 1 and a graco 3 in 1 already back there for my 4 and 2 year old. Any suggestions?

  • I think trading the car in might be the only option.

  • Find a CPST in your area for a consult and recommendations. They deal with these kind of issues for a living and have the best info.

  • I have a Diono Radian 120 and it is fantastic! It is one of the highest rated car seats and is specifically designed to fit three in a row in the back seat. It goes from 5lbs rear-facing to 120lbs forward-facing! There is also the Diono radian 100 that my mom has which is practically the same (but it goes up to 100 lbs) and it is a bit cheaper. I got mine on amazon.com for the best price.
  • If getting a bigger vehicle isn't an option, I 2nd the Diono Radian. We have 2 if them and love them. They're slim but super sturdy and are very easy to install.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I 3rd the Diono! I love mine. Very high rated and designed to fit 3 across in a compact car. Plus they told in half for travel. They are heavy because they are made if steel but it's a good option to have.

  • We have a bubble bum around for if our 5 yr old needs to hop in with a grandparent or I need to haul another kid. Our oldest will be 6 when #3 gets here so we will probably have him use that. (it's really narrow & super easy to install!)
  • It's a 2014. I literally just purchased this in april so I'm not trading it in. We have 2 other vehicles and one being our weekend f250 power stroke that yes could fit everyone. But my focus in my during the work week vehicle. So my question should have been what is everyone using for a slim car seat but still safe. Thanks

I have a safety first guide 65, a harmony defender 360, and an evenflo symphony right now in our van. The evenflo is too bulky to do 3 across, but the other two are great. We have 2 rows, so I'm keeping the evenflo, but if/when we have another baby I will probably get another defender to fit 3 in the back.
I've heard the chicco keyfit 30 is a good, slim infant seat.
