Okay. I'm going to give a lot of information.
My hubs and I are both 30. We have been married since May, 2013. Started TTC in August of this year. BFP on 9/3/14, EDD 5/14/15. First Ultrasound was on 10/7/14. Showed twins, Should have been measuring 8w5ds. but Twin A measured 6w2d and Twin B measured 6w3d. No heart beats.
NP had us go back in for another ultrasound on 10/10/14. This ultrasound showed Twin A had not grown at all, Twin B had grown to 6w5d, still no heartbeat for either baby. . SURPRISE THOUGH!!! This ultra sound showed a 3rd fetal pole (or as I prefer "baby") also measuring 6w5d, no heart beat.
We went back in again on 10/14/14 for a final ultrasound to confirm miscarriage of all 3 babies. I had a D&C on Thursday, 10/16/14.
So that all feels very scientific and medical to me.
The background is that my hubs and I were feeling so lucky and so sad at the same time. On 9/19 we had learned that my Uncle (My Dad's youngest brother) had died during a hunting accident. Then on Sunday, 9/21, my dad's oldest brother passed away. He had been sick and I think the death of the youngest brother was just too much for him.
So Hubs and I are feeling so sad about the loss of my uncles. But so very lucky at the same time. We TTC'd for one month and got pregnant! YAY!! We were sure we had mastered this getting pregnant thing. Then after the losses of my uncles we thought - "Too much shit has happened already, nothing more will happen." Going into my first appt we were just so excited to see how our little one was doing! Then in 5 minutes we went to finding out we had twins, to the all too real possibility that we had most likely lost them both. Our hearts were broken.
Since then we have both been recovering okay (emotionally and physically). Except for Friday, when I had too much to drink and ended up crying alone in my bathroom...Just playing the waiting game now. We have been given he okay to TTC again after my first visit from AF. Hoping my body regulates itself quickly.
Alright - Tons of information. Sorry about that. I am also very bad at acronyms, so if I've misused any, I apologize. Also I have tried numerous times to get a signature working - I can't figure it out...Work in progress.
Me: 30, DH: 30. Dating since 2007- Married: 5/18/13.
BFP: 9/3/14, Found out we had triplets 10/10/14, EDD: 5/14/15, Confirmed MMC: 10/14/14. D&C: 10/16/14.
