Good morning, all! I've been lurking for a few days and magically as I'm sitting in my REs office waiting to see if I can do my first round of IUI by way of my mid cycle u/s and The Bump decides I've been around long enough to post! Yay!
We've been TCC for 2.5 years. In April 2012 DO had a vasectomy reversal. Surgery was successful, plumbing is all reconnected. So it was supposed to be smooth sailing from there, right? Nope. What the surgeon didn't warn us about was the potential of antibodies. For nearly a year following DHs surgery he did several SAs. The results 'suggested' antibodies and we were referred to the University of Washington. At this point, 10k in, we decided to listen to the well meaning folks who had never ever had fertility issues, and 'relax.' No more doctors, no more several hour trips to Seattle, no more missed work, just me and DH and his newly reconnected plumbing.
Fast forward a year to my 30th birthday. My well meaning (?) Mother reminded me that she was ready to be a grandma. Despite my better judgement I didn't punch her. But we did finally make that appointment at UW. We met with a urologist that specializes in fertility and got hooked up with another doctor who basically wrote the book on antibodies attacking sperm. Sure enough antibodies were the culprit. And they weren't the friendly easy to wash antibodies. They were the gnarly super antibodies. They did a diagnostic IUI and discovered that washing will work, but it takes an extra hour. Awesome. My new favorite doctors.
Now it was my turn to get tested. As far as I knew I was fine. Regular cycles no issues for years. I had been off birth control for 10 years and my body seemed happy. I was thinking it was going to be smooth sailing. But I apparently have a blocked left tube. Yippee!
And today, hopefully good news since they didn't say anything was horrible wrong. I go back Saturday to see if those follicles are cooperating (awesome way to spend my birthday) and will, with any luck, be doing my first ever IUI Sunday.
I did 5 days of letrozole and will do an ovidrel trigger on Saturday ovaries permitting. Sorry for the novel. But I can't talk to anyone around be about this besides my DH. So it's kinda nice to lay it all out.
Anyhow, I just want to thank you all for being awesome. Reading your posts has given me reassurance that I'm not insane for feeling the way I feel and has immensely helped with expectation management. I can't wait to get to know you all and hopefully help you as you've helped me.

Sept/Oct 2014: IUI #1 (Gonal F + HCG) = BFN
Oct/Nov 2014: Temporarily Benched due to multiple cysts on each ovary.
Nov 27: IUI #2 (Gonal F + HCG) = BFP
Husband: 26 SA: normal
Me: 23 Low AMH and damaged ovaries due to chemotherapy.
No AF or O in 3 years. HSG showed a slight T shaped uterus.
High Risk OB 9/29- got the ok to get pregnant.
RE Appt: 10/28/ U/S showed follicles, but also small damaged ovaries.
B/W results CD0: all normal except low AMH at 1.3
Cycle 1-November (TI)- Femera 2.5mg, 2mg Estradoil, and Trigger=BFN
