Ftm Fetal Movement?

Hello Ladies (^~^). Ftm here and I went back through the question forums to see if this has been asked but I couldn't find anything sorry if this is a repeat question. I am 18 weeks today and I'm not sure if I am feeling fetal movement at times it feels like my stomach turning or gas bubbles and I don't know if that's the baby or weird pregnancy body. How did you ladies know your baby's first movemnt s were actually movemnts. Thank you ladies (∩_∩)

Re: Ftm Fetal Movement?

  • I am 19 weeks and I'm not exactly sure but I think if it's a different feeling than what you are normally feeling, then it's the baby. I've heard a lot of varying descriptions (fluttering, fish-like, popcorn, tapping, flip-flopping) so what it feels like for you could be different from what someone else is feeling. I feel a tiny flutter really low every now and then. It's pretty sporadic. That said, you could just be gassy. You will know the difference, just give it time.

  • At least for me, it doesn't feel like gas AT ALL. It's in a different place and a very different feeling.

  • This time around the baby decided to skip the "flutters" stage entirely and just skip straight to drop kicking my cervix.  There was no denying what that was!

Last time, though, I remember the flutters felt like a bunch of little tiny frogs having a party in my ute.  Much different than gas, which also made me feel uncomfortable, but I get wicked bad gas when I'm PG!  But yeah, a good way to know is to try to fart when you feel that.  If you do, it's probably gas.  If you don't have to it's probably the baby.

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.

  • @Whitfry‌ that may be the best description I've heard lol.
