Gender Reveal

Hi ladies, I find out the sex of my baby next month and I cant wait!!! lol, but Im not sure if I should say the gender reveal during thanksgiving or wait till christmas and have the gender reveal be everyones christmas gift, thats if I can even wait that long myself lol, anyone have any thoughts on which holiday and how I could announce the gender? THX :)

    wow thought this was a site for pregnant women that are going through the same things and can actually talk to each other but can't do that with the low lives  that are responding back to me like children themselves, have a nice life

    Clearly this thread is pointless because of whoever this person is and why people don't like her, but I just wanted to say....even though I know "sex" is the correct term, does anyone else think "sex reveal" sounds mildly inappropriate ?? Lol. I can't imagine inviting my friends and family over for a sex reveal. I want to giggle.

    I always say we are finding out the sex but never once could I even consider inviting my extremely pious in-laws to a sex reveal! (FYI: I'm a Christian too and I see absolutely nothing wrong with piety! But seriously, they would faint!)

    Yeah sex reveal is super weird haha. I completely get where people are coming from and believe the difference between sex and gender is huge, but I'm still calling mine a gender reveal for the simple reason sex reveal sounds weird. Whenever I talk about the baby being a boy or girl, I use the term sex instead of gender though. It's just one of those things i guess!

    Not remotely. 1) because the term 'sex' has a number of different meanings and anyone with half a brain can infer from the context which meaning is meant and 2) I think reveal parties are pointless anyway because no one cares what anyone's having but them.
    #1. Most people aren't morons and of course they'll know what I mean, but it SOUNDS remotely funny upon first hearing it. If one has any sort of sense of humor, that is. #2. I totally disagree that "no one else cares". My family and best friends are dying to know, and my friends are the ones who said to me, "you ARE doing a reveal party, right?!" I think that's totally ridiculous to assume the people who care you're having a baby don't care in the slightest what sex the baby is. My Sister is finding out what she's having soon and I can't wait to know if I'm having a niece or a nephew.
