FUR BABY FOUND!!

One of my dogs got out this morning and hasn't returned. We looked for her all day. A woman I work with spotted her in the afternoon, but haven't had any luck since. It's not like her to run away. She's usually more scared of being outside the fence. My DH is out looking for her again. We've left the gate open. Maybe she'll be smart enough to make her way back tonight. I just hope she's ok out there, and the she returns home soon.

**UPDATE**
As I was leaving the house for work this morning, I decided to call her name out a couple of times, though I knew nothing would come of it. As soon as I shut my car door, Abby ran right in front of my car! I immediately started ugly girl sobbing.

I'm already an emotional person, but hormones definitely kicked that into high gear!

I think I scared my dog lol. I ran into the house screaming and crying, and scared the crap out of my sleeping husband. I am so thankful that she is home and ok. We are very blessed this morning. So now that I've wiped all the mascara off of my face, and took my contacts out, it's time to go to work!!

Thank you guys so much for your thoughts and prayers! It really means a lot! I'm so glad this story has a happy ending!

Will pray for her! Did you try posting it on Facebook and asking for friends and neighbors to share? A friend of mine found her dog that way.

Thanks @cscamina‌ I did! Some subdivisions around here even have their own neighborhood watch pages so I posted information on them, as well as made it my own status with pictures. That's actually how I found out someone had spotted her around 4, but no luck yet.

Oh no! I hope you find her soon... One of my dogs ran away once and we found him in one of our neighbors house... we didn't really know those neighbors and they had three other dogs of the same breed, so whoever found our dog thought he was theirs. Maybe she is closer to your house than you think. Best of luck finding her. My fingers are crossed!!!

There's an app called Nextdoor. You verify your address and it instantly connects you with other people in your neighborhood. It helped me find my weenie dog last summer!

Praying you find her! Check your local animal shelter website. When my brothers dog got out, we found him the next day at the animal shelters website.

When we lost our cat I looked online for the best things to do to get your pet back. It's probably a little different for dogs, but basically you put a box outside your house with something in it that will smell like the house / your pet (In your case, maybe a dog bed or a blanket?) along with a small amount of food. The hope is that your dog will smell it and want to use the box as shelter over night and you'll discover them there early in the morning.

Next, make missing pet flyers and start pounding the pavement. I went door to door for a week, but got tons of calls and ultimately a call that led to my cat's retrieval (after a full week of being missing, I was losing hope but we got her back).

Aside from that do, as others have said, contact your local shelters and vets to let them know a description.
