Sunday Randoms

Wake uppppp everyone :)
What's going on today? Anything on your mind?

My H brought me in a coffee this morning and it's coconut mocha and I'm currently in ecstasy. SO GOOD!
I feel like this week is flying? I like weeks like that.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Re: Sunday Randoms

  • Been up since 4 here. Had a crazy vivid dream that my OB said my baby would need to be born in 2-3 weeks (at 28-29 weeks) because I needed some other surgery. Then DD woke up at 5 ready to party. Going to be a long morning! At least we bought cinnamon rolls to bake since we're on vacation, so I have that to look forward to :) now I just want a coconut mocha to go with it!!

    Glad your week is flying!

  • @Edvent- I haaaate dreams like that.  My husband had a similar dream to yours last week.  But, I had a dream that the baby had a ton of eyeballs all over her face. So, I don't really put much stock into dreams ;) It sucks when we have them, though.
Have you ever had orange cinnamon rolls? They're a Christmas morning tradition on my side of the family. They're so good!

CMB- I feel ya. Sleep is uncomfortable!

  • @MusicFanatic‌ I don't put much stock in dreams either, I dreamed a few weeks ago that I gave birth to twin fish! The more realistic ones can be disturbing though, I'm always glad when I wake up!

Yes orange cinnamon rolls are amazing! I like that it's your Christmas tradition. We're on our own for Christmas this year so I may have to borrow that one!

  • @Edvent  -4am for me too- that seems to be the trend lately :(  But that's when I get to watch Parenthood on Netfilx!

On a good note, looking forward to eating the Monkey Bread my husband made for breakfast :)

On an even better note, looking forward to being Godmother at my niece's baptism today!   I love that little girl :)
  • Wow, a lot of people were up early today!

DS has a little cough/cold, so we're staying home from church because I don't want him coughing and snotting on other kids. I need to go grocery shopping today.

DH practically begged me to go to the store last night to get icecream (he couldn't go because he was watching football...ok). I didn't feel like it, but I might get some with the other things I need to buy today.

I'm always up early. It's rare for me to sleep past 6. Sleeping in would be 6:30.  But I'm usually up between 5-5:30.  Not pregnancy related, I've always gotten up early.  I'm hoping the fact that I'm a morning person and don't require tons of sleep helps me out when I have a newborn :/

I hope your son feels better soon :(

  • Thanks, @MusicFanatic‌!

I'm not a morning person, but I can function pretty well on less sleep or different sleep schedules. Being adaptable when it comes to sleep is definitely a good skill to have with a newborn.
  • I've been thinking lately that being a firefighter has def prepared me for sleepless nights. Anyone else beating up their SOs at night?? My poor hubby.
  • Apple cider donuts and a good cup of coffee are the best things ever!!!

Nightsweats are up there as the worse thing ever!!
  • Just ran 6 glorious miles with my running friends and I'm driving home to eat a bagel smothered in cream cheese. Ready for football!!!

  • My husband is going to be gone all day since a vendor thru work is treating his group to a luxury box at the Redskins game... Lucky him. But he cleaned up the kitchen last night and is making choc chip pancakes before he leaves :).

My husband would be so jealous about this.

This convention is so dead, I'll be streaming the Redskins in my booth on my iMacs for all the vendors.

  • I just woke up. I'm all achy today. Also, I wore my fall boots for the first time last night and they are tight in my calves. They were pretty uncomfortable. That creates a problem for me today, since I'm having lunch with my old boss today and now I don't know what to wear. Need a casual yet professional outfit...

In other news, today is the first colder day in NYC and im pretty excited! All the layers!!

Mine too! My in-laws are going to the game today too!
  • @VioletGjoni‌ - that cracks me up! I'm a total sucker for outlets. I'm between 2 great ones, 30 mins north or south...so much more exciting than the mall!
I was up at 4am too, with an ill tummy...yuck, I really hope this is a bug not on going.
    5 IUIs and an IVF
It's all worth it for Baby Boy, born 9/30/13!
What do you know, Baby Girl just popped up! Due 1/2/15

We got offered tickets by a coworker but it wasn't enough time to find a sitter for my daughter. Bummer!!

  • Your DS just melted my already emotional heart :x
  • Awww, @BookitBoo‌, DS is that way about DH too. DH had to "go work" yesterday (making doors and going fishing, but "go work" was easier to tell him), and DS had a breakdown. That's so sweet/sad about your DS packing a bag.
  • @VioletGjoni‌ -- WHERE?? You're in Clinton Twp, right??
  • @VioletGjoni‌ -- WHERE?? You're in Clinton Twp, right??

Yes! It's gonna be on m-59 and 94. It's gonna have LV, saks, and all that! It'll probably be like Somerset but less $$$!! Soooo excited!
AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! No way!! I hate driving to Great Lakes Crossing (I'm in Grosse Pointe) because I feel like the stores are lacking and aren't really "outlets". M-59 is a nightmare as it is, but this will be worth dealing with it!!!!
  • Update on my post regarding DH and the grocery store: He said, "sure." He DOES NOT like the grocery store at all and hates to even go WITH me. So it's 100% my chore. Also he took the boys.
I've been GLORIOUSLY working hard for about 45 min and I've gotten 2 text messages "what's a Baby Bula". Oops, my messy writing -"Baby Portabellas, past the potatoes, also called Cremini" is what I text back. Then a few min later I get a phone call that he cannot find them only Mini Portabellas! ::face palm::
Then there's a ? Regarding a roast-pork or beef which I get-I made the list thinking I was going to the store and I'm the meal planner. Anyways, he can't figure it out and then calls me again. I answer his ? And hear a baby crying in the background to which I ask, are you standing by a baby crying? He replies back, "yes. Our baby. Will is crying. Good bye!"
Sorry that I asked you to go to the store once in like 9 months. I go usually with both boys every damn week and figure it out. Now this is making me feel bad bc he'll be in a bad mood about it for the rest of that day. As he watches football. For hours. And BTW he golfed yesterday from 8-7:30 out of town. And golfs again tomorrow.
Sorry your life is so hard right now that a trip to the store is messing up your relaxing weekend. He's usually not like this but his work is stressful (he's a trial attorney and has a trial in 3 weeks so he's trying to enjoy his time before he has to be in the office a ton, including weekends) but so is mine. Right now. And I just asked for a little help, which I ususally don't.
Sorry for the book. I'm frustrated.

  • We're going out for Mexican. I'm not a fan, but I'm taking one for the team because DS and DH love it.
  • DD was melting the f down in the hotel this morning. I dropped DH off at his conference and went to Target to get her out and it helped her mood a lot. I also found B toys were having a buy one get one 40% off deal! I got a drum set for my best friends son's late birthday, two drawing toys for DD to play with now (one is like a magna doodle and the other uses water to color), and a musical floor mat for her for Christmas! Paid $70 for all of it!

She played with the magnet one forever then went down easily for a nap and has been asleep for an hour and a half! I know toys are not always the answer, but it was a win for me today!! Plus we were idiots when we packed and didn't bring much to entertain her. I always underestimate how much of a pain in the ass it is to travel with a toddler! Now I just have to resist giving her the Christmas present early, she's going to love that thing!

  • I forgot to take my Diectin last night, so I took it when I got up. I'm sooooo sleepy and barfy now and we have an event all afternoon.
I forgot once before, it was terrible. :(
  • @honeybeee3‌
This story is the best ever. I'm glad your honey caught DS before he could eat the Jesus Tits but this is making me LOL for real

  • So DH found out he'll be away from home for two weeks instead of just one. He says he'll be home for Halloween but I know that there is no way he can guarantee that and I'm just feeling upset and sad in general.
