Hi All!
So, I had this idea for a thread, and it doesn't have to be a regular thing, but thought I would throw it out there once and see how it does.
Tell us about the pit (low point) of your week and peak (high point) of your week.
I know it is only Wednesday, so feel free to think about this for a day or two before responding.
If this idea is a bust, we can just never do it again HAHA.
Ready, set, go!

Re: Pits & Peaks!
Pit: My puppy's ear was pierced by another dog at the park last night. She is alright, but I am still upset about it.
Peak: DW's birthday dinner last night couldn't have gone better. More people than expected showed up which was a fantastic surprise and she felt amazing.
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Peak: Ordered a new gun...Glock Gen43 .380...I'm pretty giddy about this. It will take about 5 weeks to get in! Can't wait!
Peak: I'm really bummed about my pit, so it's hard to think of a peak right now. Sorry to be a downer....
Pit: Teething stinks. Ash was up 4-5 times last night, including one 1 hour stretch from about 1:30-2:30am of almost constant crying. I try to remind myself that it is harder on him than us. Poor little guy.
Peak: Recieved Ash's bday invitations today! I'm excited about his birthday!
Peak: Our catering event this evening was a success and the food was amazing! I didn't even know how much I'd missed event planning. Hopefully this bodes well for our business venture.
@ATXmommas - the invites are adorable!
Thanks, all, for your comments on the invitation.
@Flygirl1228 - sorry you are having a rough week. You are a caring parent, spouse, and professional who strives for the best. The ups and downs are totally normal. I hope you can give yourself a break. I think you are handling things amazingly.
Pit: I truly have "lost that lovin feeling" with work. I either need something new internally, or I need to start aggressively looking externally come January. It's sad. It is going to feel kind of like a break-up. I have a big emotional attachment to my company and my job, but I am no longer growing here in my current role, and a I can't get stuck just because it is comfy.
Peak: Two people told me on Saturday (a family friend we hadn't seen in a while, and J's aunt) that I am looking great and they can see my weight loss. Then two co-workers commented this week as well. I still have a long way to go (exactly how much I don't know, because I haven't gotten on a scale in a while), but I feeling good and seem to be making progress. My body image fluctuates daily, but I have been consistently feeling good about myself for a couple of weeks now, and that is pretty amazing for me. Is it possible that pregnancy and childbirth actually helped my body image issues?!?!

Peak: went to my dear friend's (known her for 24 yrs) wedding this past Sunday. It was a tiny but beautiful wedding. And my birthday is this Sunday!
Pit: We started our PEPS group last week. All my close friends did PEPS when they had their first baby and we were super excited. It groups 8 couples who live in the same zip code for a weekly volunteer-facilitated support group. I don't know what I expected but not one of the couples feel like "our people." J said we shouldn't give up and that these things take time...but I thought at least one or two would feel like people I wanted to hang out with and get to know.
Peak: I suppose this on a similar topic...at Our childbirth ed class, we made friends with three couples (perhaps why my expectations were so high of PEPS). Its been so awesome to have them to meet up with and hang out! One of the women in particular, S, is emerging as my new -mom-bff! We had the "I'm so glad we made friends" talk yesterday and she said, "my husband asked of I was cheating on him with you!" (completely joking) and she said "I told him no! But that you're my new bff and he should be happy I have an outlet for all things sahm!" Bonus: J loves her and also her hubs, and the 4 of us have fun hanging out.
Here's Simone with S' son, born 4 days after her:
Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!

We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle
Pit: I had to get a different nurse give me my 17P injection this week because it shipped later then expected. It was awful!. I have been getting these injections for a month now and this is the first one that hurt. It not only hurt my entire left leg went numb and it still hurts. I wish I was more of a complainer because that nurse should not be giving injections!
Peak: Finding out we are having a baby girl (pretty surprised about that) and that at 20w everything looks healthy and I am one week closer to 24 weeks which is my first goal.
