For those who missed my post last night, DH decided to clean the hardwood floors with pledge, causing me to do some phenomenol dining room acrobatics. I got to spend yesterday afternoon in the ER. Nothing's broken, but I bruised my knee, sprained my arm, and I have a couple bruised ribs. The funniest part was that they kept asking me all these "domestic violence" questions, like do I feel safe in my home, etc. Yeah I feel plenty safe--so long as my hubby doesn't try to clean! In my packet of discharge papers, they included the numbers for a women's shelter and a suicide hotline. Sheesh! the doctor warned me that as bad as I felt yesterday, it would be nothing compared to the next week. I hate it when they're right. Damn, they could've at least given me the good drugs for all this!
Re: dr. was right--second day's worse than first
Yikes, I am sorry about your pledge accident! I always tell my patients how sore they will be on day 2, but I don't think many of them truly understand till the next morning! Use lots of ice and heat, and motrin!
Oh yeah and we are mandated to ask that domestic violence business on every single patient that comes in the door... from 20 years old to 95 years old, so no worries there. I am glad you could laugh about it, a lot of people get REALLY offended!?
