hello new to this app, I feel like I will get a lot of crap for this one but latley I have been feelin kinda down.. Don't get me wrong I'm super excited and love this little baby so much already!! but latley I can't help but feel down.. I'm 21 and while all my friends are out having fun getting dressed up im stuck in my room.. I just feel like I'll never be able to have my own life again.. I love this baby so much already so I know and don't mind giving all my time and attention to him/her .. But I still feel down kinda.. Maybe it's my hormones.. Guess I'm looking for a pep talk.

    I would speak to my OB if I were you. You are on a fast track to depression and self pity. They can refer you to a therapist.

    Was this a planned pregnancy? I wouldn't be so concerned with what your friends are up to and maybe try and develop some relationships with new moms or people that you may have more in common with your age in the area. You definitely sound like you could use someone to talk to. Counseling may be a good idea too.

    It sounds fairly normal but if it's a feeling that seems to take over, you def need to talk to someone. I have three and this one will make four, and honestly, sometimes I still hear about all my friends/family who have none or just one kid out having fun and get bummed. Then I get over it because having a family is great. I have an excuse to play dress up any time of the year, I can watch power rangers and my little pony and no one raises questions... I get to build "storm forts" on the family room without feeling childish (actually, I feel rather heroic because I am the mighty-mommy who scares the dinosaurs away!) and nobody notices if I order an extra kids meal... So really, they're the ones missing out. Ooh, and did I mention... the unconditional love of your child, even when they say they hate you, can not be beat.
