HELP, please?? **UPDATE - blighted ovum mentioned**

OMG. Let's start with I have been told that this is not likely to be a viable pregnancy BUT my HCG levels keep going up, just not doubling. Has this happened to anyone else? What was the result? How did you cope in while living in beta hell?! Thank you for any and all advice! The last few HCG number were as follows:

5wks 6days: 2900
6wks 2days: 4900
6wks 4days: 6800

Today I had ANOTHER u/s due to intense cramping (no bleeding) and the sac is now 5 mm but still nothing was seen inside of it.
My doctor is quite sure this is a blighted ovum (never in all my crazy thoughts did I ever think this would happen to me) but wants to give it one more week to be absolutely certain. I feel in my heart that she is right. This waiting game is brutal! Thanks to all who posted kind words, thoughts, prayers, and support. Please share your story with me if you have experienced anything similar. Love and fx for you all! ❤️

    They did an ultrasound on Monday where they found a gestational sac measuring 4 mm.

    Hey there - I'm so sorry that this is happening to you. It's an awful place to be. With my last pregnancy, my betas kept rising as well, but I in fact had a complete molar pregnancy. This happens with moles. Please do NOT put yourself in this situation as this ONLY happens to 1/1500 women. My advice is to keep a watchful eye on it, but at this point there should be a HB, I'm so sorry to say. I ended up INSISTING on a D&C and I'm happy I did because we wouldn't have known that we had a risk of cancer. At 6w6d my HCG was 24,000.

    The only tidbit I have is that after 1200, your betas take longer than 48hrs to double.

    FX for a good outcome for you!

    My only advice is to trust your doctor. At some point s/he will tell you that this is or is not viable. The vast majority of doctors will encourage you to be optimistic as long as it's possible. I hope that this resolves into a healthy baby for you! Sending lots of t&p!!

    I'm so sorry you are going though this. Being in limbo is so hard. In all honesty, the slow rising betas are not a good sign. At the very least they should be doubling in 72 hours. At your u/s was there anything in the sac or was it empty? At 6.5w there should be a fetal pole by now. Are you sure of your dates? ie were you charting and know your O date?

    Sadly I experienced slow rising betas with 2 of my pregnancies. One of which went on forever, and gave us false hope when a HB was discovered at my 6 week ultrasound. Sadly at our 8 week recheck the HB was gone.

    Each time my gut told me it wasn't going to work out. I'm so sorry Luv, being in beta he'll is unimaginably hard. As for how to deal with it.... you kinda just have to keep trucking along. There is no other choice. You have no control. Spoil yourself and take it hour by hour, and day by day.

    I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I had two blighted ovums over the last year and slow rising betas with both. It's so hard to keep your mind on other things but try to relax and take care of yourself.

    I had cp then two blighted ovum's before this current pregnancy and all after having DS no problems! Wishing you luck...

       Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T
    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.
    BFP#1 7/20/13 EDD 3/30/14, m/c 8/19/13, D&E 8/21/13, Chromosomal results = normal, female
    Lap & hysteroscopy scheduled for 10/31, right tube cleared, no endo found! ...Happy Halloween!

    My first loss was a blighted ovum but I am not sure what my betas were doing because I had no reason to check them at that point.. I just wanted to offer tons of ((hugs))
