placenta accreta

Has anyone ever had a placenta accreta and had a successful pregnancy with another child? I had placenta accreta with my last pregnancy (5 months ago) and I am now pregnant again and I'm really worried about it.
Placenta accreta is when the placenta grows through the uterine wall and doesn't detach.

    I met a lady who was able to have one more, but then had to have a hysterectomy. Sorry that's not helpful at all. I was dx with placenta accreta at my last US. Having a follow up today so we'll see. How did your delivery go 5 mos ago?

    My delivery was wonderful 5 months ago , went very smooth until my placenta didn't want to come out. I was rushed to the hospital (homebirth ) due to hemorrhage. They saved my uterus, I had no idea what accreta was. I wasn't planning on getting pregnant so soon or at all again. I'm pregnant with number 5.
    My provider said I will have a hysterectomy with this birth. It breaks my heart. I had all my kids at home and now I am forced to do a c-section with hysterectomy. I'm just keeping my hopes up that by some act of God I can save my uterus and give birth vaginally (in hospital) . Thank you ladies for your input.

    Wow! So glad you didn't hemorrhage at home without making it to the hospital. You are so lucky to be alive!! Are they monitoring you super closely this time?
