U/S #1 results

Hi everybody,

We finally got some information today!  So here's the scoop.  The u/s showed a perfectly healthy five week zero days pregnancy.  Which would be fantastic news if we hadn't calculated me at 6 weeks 3 days at the time of the u/s.  They were able to see the yolk sac, and it is in the exact right spot.  Ruled out eptopic and molar.  (whew!) So we are all a little confused.  Doc says she wants to have me in again on the 27th for another scan.  By then we should be able to see the baby and get a heartbeat. Doc seemed optimistic.

So, I guess it's a waiting game for me.  No weird symptoms so far so I'm trying to stay positive.  

Anyone have any thoughts about this?  I find it odd I could be off that much on conception date. Honestly, since this was a surprise pregnancy, I guess it's possible.  Hard for me because I really like to be in control and I'm not feeling in control of this at all!  


P.S.  LOVELY... I just accidentally posted this to the parenting after 35 board.  Anyone know how I can get it off of there?  UGH!!

    Glad your doctor was optimistic.  Hope the days fly by for your next scan.

    Fx everything will turn out great..it could be a combo of ovulation and fertilized late. I know my re said early u/s are off as much as 7 days either way. You would be in that window ! Hope the days go fast!

    I was off a whole week with my first u/s. I thought I was 8 weeks. And dr had me at 7 weeks. So I think it is good news for ya'll

    On my DD#3 she was a late implanter so even though we knew exactly when "conception" occured my RE thought my numbers were off because she implanted late into my uterus. I'm so glad for you that it wasn't bad news.

    Wow!  Thank you for all of the responses.  This makes me feel so much better.  I really didn't know what to think.  I'm going choose to believe all is well.  And to be grateful for not being horribly sick this time!

    Wonderful news!!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!
