Re: please tell me when your nausea went away!?

  • Hi im 10+6 and my nausea has eased a lot this week its still there when I get too hungry but its so much better x hope I feel better soon its awful

  • Lord I hope so. I am 8w4d and I am now having morning sickness in the middle of the night. It used to a morning and evening thing, now apparently it's going to happen around 2am as well. My poor husband always gets up to check on me, he's like are you sick?!? No I'm pregnant remember!!! :-S
  • I am 10w4d and my nausea amped up this week. I hadn't gotten sick until this week. While it's only been 3 times, it's awful. I felt great yesterday, but this morning i feel awful again.

  • Good luck! I'm 9 weeks today. My nausea started at 5 weeks and at week 6 the vomitting throuhout the day. Ginger does not help. First I tried asic tablets then the doctor prescribed Emex syrup but no help. The doctor prescribed clopoman tablets at my 8 week sonar. It helps but in the mornings I'm still running for the bathroom. Can't eat or drink any milk products. Try to eat small amounts of whatever you can keep in every two hours do not let your tummy go empty and do not let your blood sugar drop thats my problem, I have low blood sugar and I am not hungry at all. Try not to vomit too much, I burst a small vein in my eye from all the vomitting. Set your alarm clock for about 3 or 4 am and while you lay in bed eat something small but slowly and if you can keep liquids in drink very small amounts. Take electrolytes so that you do not dehydrate. I hope it will pass soon.
  • I had bad nausea week 5-7 and have literally been eating a little bit approx. once/hour.  That has seemed to help a lot!  The key is to eat before you get hungry, otherwise you get sick and then don't want food, causing the sickness to get worse like a vicious cycle.  Eating often, along with sea bands and ginger and preggie pops has really helped me.
  • My first child was 6 months, my second 2nd trimester, this one I've never gotten it yet.
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • I'm 10+6 right now and it has started to ease up this week for me. Everyone is different though.

  • I am almost 12 weeks and it is not as strong but I still have it... Hang in there!!
  • I'm almost 11 weeks and mine is getting better. With DD it was gone by about 13 weeks. I think its common for it to ease up around the start of the second trimester but every pregnancy and every woman is different. I have friends and coworkers who vomited every day until their babies were born. Hang in there.... I know it can be really tough!

  • I'm 10 weeks and it's subsided. Still get mild mild episodes here and there. Energy starting to come back a little during the day. Always hungry tho... Ugh. :D
  • With my son-- 10 weeks.
    With my daughter-- 23 weeks.
  • With DD it was much better by 15 weeks, and totally gone probably around 18 weeks. I'm 11w5d and improving! I don't think I've vomited for the last time, but I'm improving and that gives me hope.
  • Morning sickness is the worse ever. Not to mention I carry a spit cup around with me. Do anyone know how to make the spitting stop?
  • This week has been much better for me at 11 weeks.  I still took my nausea medicine one afternoon and I take Unisom at night (afternoon/evenings are when I start to feel sick).  But I no longer have the all day thing and no dry heaving this week.  Like others said, everyone is different...but that's my experience.

  • I'm 12 weeks. I felt wonderful until 9 weeks then morning sickness started. But it wasn't in the morning, it was always in the evenings from 5 until bedtime then went away during the night. It has gotten significantly worse every week. Today, when I thought it should be easing up its now the worst it's been so far. Fingers crossed that it gets better! I know it can last through 14 or 16 weeks, and for some people it's the entire pregnancy. It's a waiting game, sadly.
  • Mine went away at 10 weeks, good luck!

  • Hang in there and if you haven't already, start taking your prenatal vitamins at night. My nausea significantly decreased once I started doing that!
  • I had it until 20W with my first, hoping it doesn't stick around that long with this one.

    IT'S A GIRL

  • With my first i had "morning sickness " all day unless i was eating soup or smoothies, and thats pretty much all i could manage. I wasnt barfing but i felt like i had a hangover all day every day until the 13th week when it stopped as suddenly as it started. If you are taking iron fortified pills those can make it worse so it can be better to aboid them for the first trimester and try to get iron in differet foods instead (easier on the stomach). This time around the naussea wasnt as bad bit still there pretty much all day unless i was eating. With my 11 month old i need to have more energy than i did when i was just pregnant with her, so i opted to try the Diclectin my midwife suggested. It is made of vitamin B6 and an amtihistamine. It is working sooo well! I highly reconmend it. I know many people are leary of anti nausea meds because of what happened a couple generations back, but diclectin has been used for many years now and it is proven to be safe... If you still dont want to try it, vitamin B6 on its own can help (i wouldnt take it in vitamin form unless your doctor reconmends it) but you can easily get vitamin B6 in root vegtables (potatoes especially) and non citrus fruits. Its funny because bfore the diclectin all i wanted to eat was potatoes, apples, cheese and spaghetti. Good luck to you, i know your pain.

My mom was sick when she was pregnant with me the entire time, she also had an aversion to bacon, poor her. Mine comes and goes, I'm in week 11 now. It's like as soon as I say I'm feeling good it comes back...

edit: I don't type as fast as my brain thinks...

  • I'm nearly 9weeks had morning sickness since week 6 and driving me nuts, feel like I have a hang over/run a marathon I feel like falling asleep at work and in bed at or before 8pm most nights. I'm off to dr on Monday for something to take to help me out. I get it all day/night nausea :(
  • I'm 11w4d and the nausea and vomiting are starting to get me very discouraged. It's all day and has been going on since week 6. Ugh make it stop!
  • I'm almost 12 weeks, my nausea has actually got worse since 8 weeks and my food aversion is terrible. I open fridge and gag, nothing is appealing and I can only drink water. I misscarried in April at 9 weeks so the symptoms are almost comforting for me.
  • From what I gather from this thread and from knowing lots of people who have had babies, it's different for everyone. Some women I know were sick their entire pregnancies, and some hardly had anything. It's hard to know what will happen for you, OP.

This is my first pregnancy. My nausea began around 7 weeks, and it is starting to get a little better now at 12 weeks. But still the occasional vomiting, just not as frequent as before.
  • I'm about 9 weeks and the nausea has almost all went away. Some foods still gross me out or some things make me want to throw up...but the morning sickness is almost gone! So just hang in there girl!!

I'll officially be 10 weeks in two days and It's day 3 of no nausea. Hopefully this lasts!!

    Feel better soon.
  • With my first pregnancy I started to feel better between 13-14 weeks.
  • I didn't have any nausea last time - that was nice, though did not help with my weight!
This time I started feeling queasy and having food aversions around 7 weeks, I think. Last week (11) it was pretty much gone - fx it STAYS away!

I'm 10 weeks today and I didn't have morning sickness until 9w1d and it's been rough this week. Got sick after finishing my $8 breakfast burrito :(
  • Mine literally started the week after we tried and conceived and hasn't stopped :(( I'm 10 weeks. But it has gotten better it's not an ALL day thing. I actually went all day yesterday! I'm starting to get my hopes up!
  • I'm 11w+3d and I started getting sick around 4weeks that's how I found out I was pregnant, I hate this feeling too because even when I'm at work I have to leave customers standing there and run to the bathroom, I was only getting m/s at night and now it has eased up a bit but now it's once at night and maybe once during the day, the dr. Sent me some nausea pills but I stopped taking them as they make me really really constipated (sorry if that's tmi) I hope that by 14 weeks I'll start to feel better and hopefully you will too ! ❤️
  • I'm 12wks+6, and my nausea is back, worse than before! I've had it since wk 3, and it stopped at about wk 8 (no vomiting, just constant nausea 24/7, waking me up in the middle of the night as well). I've now started to throw up, and nothing is helping. Will not take the nausea pills my doc rx'ed, because they make me constipated. Hang in there though, everyone is different! Crackers and I are BFF's, and don't let yourself get too hungry; I've noticed that sparks it for me! Good luck hun!
  • I've been sick since week 6.  I will be 12 weeks on Thursday and it has gotten better, but I am still nauseous from 1-4pm everyday.  Still having some food aversions.  I think in both of my previous pregnancies I was pretty good by week 13.  Praying that happens this time around.
