Foam play mats

Only used a 4x4 mat for our singleton DD, but looking for something larger for the triplets.  Starting to roll and want to cover a large area (maybe 10'x10' mat) in a 20'x24'room.  Any suggestions?  I like the foam ones from buy buy baby or target, but they are smaller.  Wondering if you can put 2 sets together..?
Thanks!

Re: Foam play mats

  • Yes, you can put two or more sets together. We have a set upstairs and another set downstairs.

  • We've used the one from One Step Ahead and really like it- we started small and expanded it after the twins- you can make it as big as you want. We also did the edge pieces which make it more expensive but a lot more attractive.
  • We used those 2'x2' ones that stick together is varying colours and actually pretty much covered our entire open-concept living area with them when the trips were small. I got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed them every night and spot cleaned throughout the day. We just recently pulled them-up!
  • We got a matt from amazon that someone recommended and we love it! It's not foam it's more like a thick squishy rubber. It's really big and easy to clean just have to wipe it down. It's one of the best purchases I have made by far. It's called the baby care play mat.
