I read the book, and I loved it as well. I'm thinking I won't see the movie until it comes out of theaters because I can't fathom sitting in a movie theater for 2+ hours at 38 weeks preggo. I've heard great things about it, and I think they did the casting right.

OK, I realize I am in the minority, but I read and hated Gone Girl (for a book group). i forced myself to finish it in the hopes that I'd get why everyone likes it. It's not poorly written, I just thought both main characters were irredeemably unlikeable. It might, however, make a better movie than book (a la War of the Roses or something).

I hated Gone Girl too. I had at least two alternate endings I would have preferred.
A. I thought they were all in on it; Amy, Nick, Rand & Marybeth. I thought they were trying to get a book deal because they were broke.
B. I thought he was going to be hallucinating and that none of it was really happening.
I liked the book more than the movie though. In the book I hated Nick at the end, I thought he was just as stupid as she was but the movie left me feeling maybe, a little bad for him? He just seemed pathetic to a sad degree in the movie.
Loved Me Before You though. I thought the first 30% kind of sucked so I almost quit a few times but it's a quick read and it totally made up for it by the end.
I loved the book and liked the movie. I didn't expect to like the movie as much and I was right.
I liked the tone of the book better. I didn't want to feel bad for nick in the movie.
What I was disappointed in was the naked Ben Affleck scene. I heard all about this amazing full frontal shot and I didn't see anything below chest area. Maybe I was reaching for a snack or something and missed it?

Apparently if you freeze frame it you see full frontal but that involves a lot of creepin' on Affleck/NPH.
