  Audrey1787    Thank you, That is a great article. I was worried about the baby being able to rollover but this article from the doctor addressed that. I am currently looking into the Angelcare Monitors as well.

  QSB            Thank you. My OB is currely looking into a Sleep Apnea machine. They say that a true SIDS case can not be stopped but if it was really Sleep Apnea then the baby can be saved. Apparently they can not tell if a baby dies from Sleep Apnea b/c after they are gone it looks the same as SIDS. SIDS is just a fancy way of saying "sorry, we don't know why your healthy baby died". I hate this.

  So sorry for your loss @BrittianyM‌. I'm a FTM and also don't have any advice or Intel to offer, but I'm planning to go with the angel care monitor, which has come highly recommended by a few friends.

  So sorry for your loss. I also recommend the angel care monitor.

  I used the angel care monitor with both my DD's I loved it, it gave me a lot of comfort. I will be using it again this time.

  We had the Angel Care Monitor system for our son, and we felt that it gave us HUGE peace of mind.  Initially we had issues with it being too sensitive, and then did some research that suggested we put a thin board under the mattress, and it worked like a dream up until he was a bit bigger and was able to stand up in the crib, but by then the risk of SIDS was so slim we were ok with turning off the monitor under the mattress.

  We used an Angel care monitor with DD and some times it was the only way DH and I got any sleep.  We had several false alarms when she got big enough to wiggle out of the center of the mattress, but those were totally worth the peace of mind it gave.  I will definitely be using it again.
