Can I use the bumbo in the bathtub? Or will it absorb water? Our infant tub is too small but he can't sit up yet and I hate to buy another baby item I'll only use for a month or two
@haylo33 have you thought about using your kitchen sink for baths? You might still have to support your LO, But it might be easier than doing it in your tub. Andplusalso, no bending over to reach LO.
We put her in the big tub without anything and she can't sit by herself yet. I just don't fill the water too high. She loves laying in the water and splashing and kicking her feet. When it's time to wash her I use one hand for support and wash with the other.
This is what DS uses. It's awesome he loves it! I fill up the tub half way do his feet hang over in the water. He scoots his butt way down and splashes like a crazy man!
I have the same thing as @THD7580 and have used it to bathe DD since she was born. I love it! I do the same, fill the tub half way and let her splash with her feet. I keep a wash cloth on her chest and keep pouring water over her to keep her warm.

I have thought about the sink but it makes me nervous cause he moves like a crazy person and gets so slippery. I could have one of us support him while the other bathes him.
I hated bathing my squirmy guy in the kitchen sink, it was way too slippery. We got this tub and it's great because it works from newborn (full support) to toddler (sitting up fully on the opposite side). It even sits in a double kitchen sink so you can still stand comfortably to wash your baby. And once they get too heavy/splashy for the kitchen sink at least you don't have to fill your whole bathtub with water, just the little tub.
It was $20 and I think we'll be able to use it until he is 8-10 months old. And checkout local mom swap sites or Craigslist, I see this exact tub posted all the time for at least half off the price. I wish I had looked before we bought ours new.
We have the same tub as @RachelCA29 too. LO is getting a little too long for the newborn side but can't sit up well enough to switch to the infant side yet. It doesn't seem to bother her, she still likes kicking around.
