Hi there- I never signed up for a labor buddy, but I went in to be induced on Tuesday morning, 10/14. Got hooked up to pit at 8 a.m., was only 1cm and 50%. Got epi around 12:15 at which point contractions were onl 2 mins apart. But still only 2-3 cm. dr. said that at some point I'd pick up and go really quick and she was right. I was only 4 at 3 pm and at 4 pm the nurse came in and gave me oxygen and had me switch to left side bc baby's hr was decelerating with contractions. She said it was a normal sign that she was almost ready. Shortly after I felt loads of pressure and the nurse called dr. I was 10 and she wanted me to practice push to see how I'd do. After that she said I was definitely good to go. I pushed 10 minutes and she was out at 4:30! We got home today and so far so good. My only question for you ladies whose babies are out...where is baby sleeping? We have a rock n play we were going to put her in but I have to admit, I feel like I'm going to be paranoid and want to stare at her all night to make sure she's breathing!
