Sorry it's been a while ladies! But one week ago I went to an ultrasound where we learned my AFI was only 3.2. This had been an ongoing problem since 35 weeks but this was the lowest it had ever been, plus he had only gained 3 oz in 2 weeks. On top of that I had been having high bp. So I was sent over to be induced that night. I was completely closed and 50 % effaced. So they inserted a cervadil (not sure I spelled that right). 12 hours later I was at a 1. They started pitocin which led to very painful contractions that still weren't getting me anywhere. I ended up getting the epidural (really didn't want one) and it worked and I felt great. I then progressed to a 2 and the midwife found scar tissue from a leep I had March 2013 and pulled that off and immediately went to a 4. I then progressed very quickly. The last time I was checked I was at a 6. Not even an hour later I felt the urge to push , the midwife was very quick getting in there but he was already almost out. I believe I had 4 pushes and he was out. He was born at 10 pm on 10/10! 6 lbs 0.5 oz 19 inches long. He's doing great! Latching has been a huge challenge so I've been pumping and feeding him bottles but other than that he's perfect
