20 week symptoms

Ok so I don't know about any of you but I honestly feel like I'm DYING. I'm having such a hard time holding anything down even little pieces of kale and stuff I've been eating in a desperate attempt to get my poor baby some nutrients. My stomach won't even digest it at all it just looks like I'm chewing things up and spitting them out. Every muscle in my body hurts but my abs OMG MY ABS hurt more then anything in the world but ONLY in the morning. I'll wake up in excruciating pain and won't be able to get out of bed for at least an hour or two every morning, and then the cramping will go away completely. I have a snoogle and I make sure to sleep on my side, even my left, to make sure my baby has the best sleep as well as me but I'm still having so many problems! Not to mention I woke up to pee 6 TIMES last night... If I'm not drinking water where the hell does it keep coming from !! Waking up every hour an a half to pee is almost as painful as the cramps I get the next morning...
Anyone else in pain/throwing up everything still?
** Yes, my MD prescribed me the $60 morning sickness pills but I throw those up too >:c

Are you keeping fluids down? If not the cramping can be from dehydration. Have you told your OB you can't keep the meds for your ms down? There are other types of meds, IV, suppositories, pumps to help if you can't keep the pills down.

  • She keeps just keeps encouraging me to drink Gatorade to get electrolytes and warned me against flu season saying that could be the culprit, she never suggested any other medications
  • I might want a second opinion if it were me. Does she ever check your labs to see if you are dehydrated? Have you lost much weight due to your ms? Staying hydrated is very important, but by now if your ms is still bad enough that you can hardly eat I would think she would be a little more concerned.

  • Have you ever tried the brat diet to help with the MS I hear bland foods are to help Bananas, Rice, Applesause, Toast. Really anything you can stomach will be best
  • If your current doctor doesn't seem concerned, I'd want a second opinion.

I can't relate to the ms and cramping, but I can sympathize with the night time bathroom trips. I was up 5 times last night.
  • I agree about the second opinion/new OB thing.

I still have bad MS and take pills 3/day and you're insurance should cover some relief. I hope you aren't paying $60 out of pocket. (There's a waiver your doc can fill out to help you out if it's not).

I called when I was throwing up liquids and had to go in for an IV for fluids. It really sounds like you are dehydrated since you make a comment about not drinking water. Make sure you have at least 8 cups of fluids a day. (I found Gatorade made it worse for me).

As mentioned, don't worry too much about nutrients, just eat and drink what you can. If you can stomach your pre-natal, that is the best and just eat whatever you can.

I'm concerned your doc isn't more concerned at this point though.

  • I've been drinking lots of water but I end up throwing lots of it up too. I don't think it's dehydration though because if I was severely dehydrated I would NOT be peeing so much (literally every 30 mins - 1 hour 24-7) I'm seeing my dr on the 20th and I really hope she has some better answers :/

There are conditions that cause excess urination, GD, UTI etc. You may not be dehydrated, but it still doesn't sound like a good long term situation. Please advocate for yourself and do not let your doctor leave without a plan for trying to help more with your ms.

ETA: I hope she offers you some solutions and you feel better soon!

  • Sorry you are going through this, but j agree that you need to get something down. Anything! And if your doctor isn't helping you, time to find someone new!
