hey ladies wondering if anyone in illinois ordered a breast pump through a medical equipment provider that billed your insurance directly and if so who did you go through? Any info is appreciated!
I live in IL and my insurance (Cigna) gave me a specific supplier to go through. In my case this is carecentrix. The supplier knew the requirements for my insurance and I received my pump less than a week after I sent in the Rx.
You might want to check with your insurance to see if you can go to any MEP of if you have to use one of their choosing. Unfortunately I have a very specific list of locations I can visit and an even smaller list of mail order companies.
Married on October 20, 2012. Began trying in January 2013. RE appointment & testing December 2013 - February 2014= Unexplained IF, possible endometriosis IUI#1- March 22 (100mg clomid, 75 mg of Bravelle, Ovidrel trigger) = BFP!!!
You can use this Web site as and they will email you the dme companies you can use and when you pick the dme they will email you with what your insurance will cover. And upgrade options etc.
I'm using a Medela pump in style advanced right now. Its a double electric and I'd highly recommend it. Also, really recommend getting a hands free pumping bra like this:
I really like this one, makes my life easier. Especially with a little one in the NICU and I'm doing nothing but pumping.
I'd recommend whipping out the insurance card and seeing if there's a number on the back to call with questions. When I ordered mine, the insurance had a couple of recommended vendors to go through. They'll probably even email you links or send you info on the vendors/distributers like they did for me.
