Random Preg. Quest. Re:Eating

Because I don't remember this with my first pregnancy, or maybe it didn't happen with my first pregnancy- When I am hungry, I am hungry, but when I eat something, I am eating way smaller portions then normal- if not a literally am so full I can't breathe. So clearly, I eat only enough to not get that feeling. Is this a normal thing, I honestly don't remember it the first time around.

My History:
Lots of BFN's & failed IUI's w/clomid and/or femara
Finally BFP with femara & t.i.- son born 6/17/2010
Started TTC again around when DS was 3ish
Lots of BFN's with femara & t.i & ovidrel
Tubes clear, S.A came back low motility but high count
About to switch to injectables w/femara, did one last cycle with just femara & an IUI with ovidrel- stupid motility was fantastic in the sample, but count was 700,000 AFTER wash! Had to sign a paper to even still do IUI- BFFP (big fat freaking positive) Go figure!
1st Beta 13dpiui 54, 2nd beta 48 hours later 115, 3rd beta 48 hours later 310, 4th beta 72 hours later 1748.

    I have this now but for me, I'm guessing that the twins are squishing my stomach so there's just not enough room to get food in. If I eat "too much" (ie eat til full), I get this massive air bubble in my chest that lasts for hours. I can't lay down with it and it's uncomfortable. So I limit my portion to avoid this "feeling". While I don't have experience with it, I liken it to if I had a stomach bypass surgery and you can only have a few ounces etc without being sick...

    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN

    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!
    First u/s= Twins with HBs at 6w2d! We are Team Pink x 2!!

    Yes. I'm dealing with this too. I loooove food in general so I thought this would be my time to pig out & enjoy food but I get full really quickly whenever I eat. I had to learn to eat smaller portions several times a day versus these huge meals I used to eat before I was pregnant.

    Me & DH (33), 3 Furbabies, TTC since October 2011
    Day 3 #’s (Dec 2012) FSH 9, AMH .77, LH 2.4, E2 31, AFC 9 

    DX: Me-DOR + No Tubes, DH-Fine

    Ectopic 2007; lost tube/2nd tube removed Dec 2011 (hydro)

    April 2012=IVF#1- EPP Antag+ICSI, 2R,0F (BFN), Now dx’d with DOR.

    June-July 2012=IVF#2- MDL+ICSI&AH, 8R,4M,3F (BFP 9dp3dt) Beta#1 at 11dp3dt=36, Beta#2 at 15dp3dt=156, Beta#3 at 19dp3dt=671, dx'd with SCH, no growth-m/c at 7wks/Lap Dec 2012 to remove small fibroid.

    Feb 2013=IVF#3-MDL, 2/1=baseline, started 10 units mdl, AFC-7, 2/3 start gonal f, self cxld cycle b/c of low e2.

    April 2013=IVF#3.5-(with new RE)AG/ANT Conv + ICSI. 4/10-4/23 bcp's, 4/20-4/27 lupron, 4/28-ganirelix until end of stimming, 5/2-600 gonal f, 5/4-add 1/2 vial menopur, 5/13-ER (9R,1M,1F), 5/17-ET, 1 beautiful 8 cell (please be my sticky baby!!!!) 5/28-BFFN.

    Oct 2013=IVF#4-LLP+ICSI &AH, 10/14 (6R, 2M, 2F), 10/17-ET, 1 seven cell & a six cell, BFP at 9dp3dt, 1st beta=56, 2nd beta=52, CP.

    Jan 2014=IVF #5-LLP, Cxld after 6 days of stims due to fast response and lead follicle. 

    March 2014=IVF 5.5-LLP, Lupron 3/10, BL 3/18, 11 days of stims, Trigger 3/29, ER 3/31. 7R, 2M, 2F. ET 4/3. Txfd one 5 cell & one 9 cell. BFP on hpt from 7dp3dt & on. Praise be to God. Beta #1 at 11dp3dt=106, #2 at 13dp3dt=239. First u/s 4/28, measuring on track & heartbeat seen. 5/5-2nd u/s, measuring on track with strong heartbeat. 5/12- 3rd u/s & released from RE. Grow baby grow, we love you! Baby G&T is a BOY! Born 12/2014 via c/s! 8lbs, 8oz & 21 inches.

    Same thing is happening to me and I'm only 7 weeks. I'm not crazy about food but when I eat I can't eat nearly as much as I could before. I actually love it, it's kept me from gaining any weight so far. Normally I put it on quick because I just don't eat as healthy. Thanks to all the fertility treatments I started off with a lot more weight than I'm happy with.

    I could be wrong, bit I think there are two separate causes to this. During the first tri, I had no appetite, so I could eat very little. This problem has gone away now, trust me! (Nom, nom, nom on all the foods!!) My understanding is that later your stomach is actually so squashed that you can for anything. There's a pic on babycenter that shows your poor stomach all the way up under your rib cage.

    Does this sounds right to folks?

    This sounds right to me. I lost weight first tri bc I had no interest in food... Now, it just hurts to eat..

    I've noticed this in the last week or so with me! When I get hungry, I'm ravenous...then regret it bc I'm so full I have the feeling I just had a huge thanksgiving dinner. I'm miserable, it feels like my stomach is being push out, and I get short of breath!

    Yep, exactly. I'm only 7 weeks and I have to constantly be eating a little something every 1-2 hours. Eat too little, I get queasy, eat too much, it gets uncomfortable. Definitely not going to be one who loses weight in the first tri!

    I have this problem most days as well; I don't remember it from my first pregnancy. And I'm only 5 weeks... LOL. I kind of miss stuffing my face to be honest :)
    TTC #2 since 2011 (took 1.5 years to conceive spontaneously after multiple failed clomid cycles and 1 failed clomid +IUI)
    Me- PCOS, borderline hypothyroid
    Him- low concentration/count

    Feb 2014- started acupuncture
    Feb 2014- BFP
    March 2014- m/c @ 5 weeks
    May 2014- HSG, all clear, started Synthroid, Femara 5mg CD 3-7 + trigger + TI= BFN
    Waiting for new RE appointment end of July 2014

    I wonder if the progesterone has anything to do with it- it makes me crazy bloated. Maybe once I am off that, it won't be as bad...
