  I wonder if it's like a typical speed dating event where you write down your top picks and the event coordinators contact you if there is a match. I think my inner 5th grader would be way to self conscious about being the kid nobody wants on their team.

  Idk, you have nothing to lose, right? You either make new friends or leave and go back to the drawing board.
  If people don't want to be your friend/are bitchy you probably wouldn't want to be friends with them anyway.
