Eiress21's Birthday Story.

Short version:

Ja'Lena was born Oct 7th at 6:22am weighting 7lbs 8 oz. I labored for 13 hours.

Really Long Version:

I guess when they say things can progress quickly, they mean it.

On the 6th I had been having contractions that were sporadic but painful as hell! My MW laughed over the phone as I told her what was going on. "Oh Honey try to take a warm bath or get some sleep for an hour, if that doesn't work come in and we'll get you checked" Needless to say nothing was working.

My contractions went down to 8 minutes for almost an hour and a half. So we headed into the hospital around 6pm and of course I was only a 'really loose' 2cm dilated. We walked...and walked , still not a lot of change. My MW had given me two ambien and told us to hurry home because there pretty fast acting. Ma nurse had told me everytime someone takes an Ambien they're labor either stalls or kick starts.

Boy was she right! I had slept for maybe 45mins before some serious contractions start hitting HARD! My DH started timing them at 4mins consistently, so off we went again heading to L&D.

We went right up to triage, were my MW checked me at 5cm, I was begging for an epidural at this point hoping not to miss my window of opportunity.

A couple hours later, epidural an a billion nurses poking and prodding at me I had started to feel a little pressure down below. My DH was there but 'where the hell is my mom!' She had begged me to tell her when it was time and now she's not here! I tried to wait a few minutes before telling my nurse but I couldn't.

My MW rushed in an started setting up for me to push. I'm so happy I had packed my glasses because the light above me were so strong. I Puked, it was so awkward having everyone watch me...waiting for me to finish.

"Alright, are you ready? She down here...give a big push" one push....two push....three push "Okay Eiress21, One more!"

I pushed as hard an I could and she slipped right out, I so happy it was over. My LO was finally here, I told DH it was fine to leave me and take her first picture.

No stitches need, I was fine. My MW had told she thinks I'm her record for fastest delivery so far.

I didn't expect to have LO enter into the world so quickly but everything happens for a reason and what's best for you, your body knows way before you realize anything.
