Re: *~September Sapphires Check-In~* (Oct. 15)

  • Ahh congrats @beckynsean11!!

    How are you doing @MyFirstRaspberry? I hope everything is going well!

    I actually didn't get my u/s this week because of work stuff. So I have it scheduled for next Tuesday. I am kinda nervous about it. Other than that, we started the program with kids and it was good on the first day, very frustrating on the second day, and we will see what tomorrow brings. I am also 2 dpo, so just starting out the 2ww....

    Hugs to anyone who needs them!

    QOTW: My favorite subject was English (and still is!). I had an amazing teacher for 2 years in high school who changed my life. He also is the reason why I became an English teacher. :) I also really enjoy reading and losing myself in writing.

    Sorry to hear you were not able to get the u/s done this week but I am glad you were able to reschedule it quickly. I hope over the next few days of your program that things settle down some for you. I hope the kids fall into a routine that works.

    Wow! What an amazing teacher to have made such an impact on you! That is really cool!

  • Hi everyone. Thanks for the check-in, @MyFirstRaspberry. Hope all is well with you.

    @ashlee113085 I'm glad to hear that you were able to reschedule your ultrasound so quickly. Hope the program goes well tomorrow.

    AFM, I doing okay. I connected with my former boss last week so hopefully that will help my job hunt. I plan on spending tomorrow applying for positions. Right now I'm also trying to setup an appointment with a new doctor. I did a lot of research and have my heart set on this practice (plus, they have an RE on staff), but it looks like I won't be able to get in to see her until December. Anyhoo, I'm wondering if it might be prudent to bench myself until I'm settled with this doctor. I have a couple weeks to mull on this....

    QOTW: I was a huge band nerd. In fact, band was such a big part of my high school experience that I forgot it was a subject. After that, I had a string of great awesome history teachers.
  • Thanks for the check in @MyFirstRaspberry‌ . I had my OB appointment today, and it was meh. He still believes that I should take medication, then have another u/s in 3 months to see where we are at. I convinced him to give me a referral to another OB to discuss surgical options, and the appointment is two weeks from today. The private clinic has postponed my consult until November 6, and Im just sooo frustrated. I'm going to start the fibroid shrinking (hopefully) meds tomorrow, at least to be doing something to prevent growth and be proactive until I get the other consults. I'm pretty concerned about side effects though, as it's quite new to the market, trying to focus on one day at a time, but I was so hopeful to have a plan this week :(

    DD 15.07.2012

    BFP #2 01.18.2014, MMC 04.10.2014 15w5d

    BFP #3 07.18.2014, MC 07.31.2014 5w6d

    DX: RPL due to submucosal uterine fibroid. Hysteroscopy 12/16. All clear!

  • Thanks for the check in @MyFirstRaspberry. How are you, love?

    MIL is ok, she is driving me crazy. Clomid treated me pretty well. I didn't have as bad hot flashes as I usually do. I go for monitoring today. It's going to be a hairy experience since I forgot to shave my legs. Whoops! I figure we will prolly be triggering this weekend if things go like they have the last two cycles.

    QOTW: My favorite subject was History. I was a nerd and still am. I love all things history and it was my minor in college.

    @ashlee113085 GL for your 2ww!!
    @eliida GL with the job search. I am looking as well, and it takes so long!! I hope your new doc works out for you!
    @LauraO11 ((Hugs)) hun. That is a lot.

    @eliida ::waves hello::

    Good for you to do the research on the right OB/RE office to work with. Did your previous doctor recommending waiting to TTC until you have a doctor's supervision?  If the doctor did not suggest waiting, then I see no medical reason to bench yourself. However, if you choose to bench yourself for personal reasons - I totally support you.

    Band nerd, eh? What instrument did you play?

    Ugh! I'm sorry your clinic consult got postponed. I can understand your frustration. I am not familiar with medication to shrink fibroids but I hope it is easy on you and is helpful. Sending you some extra ((hugs)).

    Hey Lady!  I always worry about the status of my shaving in all areas before an RE appt. But I tell myself, they have probably seen much worse. They have never said anything to me so who knows. Glad to hear clomid wasn't a B**** to you.  I shall continue to send you stength vibes to deal with you MIL. GL!

  • @eliida I know all to well the job searching process.....Good luck to you! Also I hope you find a good new doctor that you like!

    @LauraO ((hugs)) I'm sorry that they rescheduled your appt. Thinking of you!

    @megrae12 I often forget to shave before important doctor's appts too :) . I'm glad that your MIL is doing well, but sorry that she's driving you crazy! I couldn't imagine being with my MIL 24/7...she's great, but....  I hope you have good news and are able to trigger! ((hugs))
  • @MyFirstRaspberry I played the clarinet. :) I heard back from the doctor's office and they were able to book me an appointment mid-November. My last doctor did not recommend that I wait until I'm set up with a new office for TTC, I was just feeling a little panicky when the new people couldn't see me until the end of December.

    @megrae12 Hope your monitoring appointment went well and your MIL continues to improve.

    @LauraO11 I'm sorry that you're feeling so fustrated. ((hugs))
